(This was written by a young Indian girl who was in jail for drug charges, and was addicted to meth. She wrote this while in jail. As you will soon read, she fully grasped the horrors of the drug, as she tells in
this simple, yet profound poem. She was released from jail, but, true to her story, the drug owned her. They found her dead not long after, with the needle still in her arm.)
As you go about your life say a pray or two for our
Children, Teens, Young Adults. They need all the help they can get to stay away.
Even more help and love to fight the battle of
drug abuse.
My Name: "Is Meth"
I destroy homes, I tear families apart,
take your children, and that's just the start.
I'm more costly than diamonds, more precious than gold,
The sorrow I bring is a sight to behold.
If you need me, remember I'm easily found,
I live all around you - in schools and in town
I live with the rich; I live with the poor,
I live down the street, and maybe next door.
I'm made in a lab, but not like you think,
I can be made under the kitchen sink.
In your child's closet, and even in the woods,
If this scares you to death, well it certainly should.
I have many names, but there's one you know best,
I'm sure you've heard of me, my name is crystal meth.
My power is awesome; try me you'll see,
But if you do, you may never break free.
Just try me once and I might let you go,
But try me twice, and I'll own your soul.
When I possess you, you'll steal and you'll lie,
You do what you have to -- just to get high.
The crimes you'll commit for my narcotic charms
Will be worth the pleasure you'll feel in your arms.
You'll lie to your mother; you'll steal from your dad,
When you see their tears, you should feel sad.
But you'll forget your morals and how you were raised,
I'll be your conscience, I'll teach you my ways.
I take kids from parents, and parents from kids,
I turn people from God, and separate friends.
I'll take everything from you, your looks and your pride,
I'll be with you always -- right by your side.
You'll give up everything - your family, your home,
Your friends, your money, then you'll be alone.
I'll take and take, till you have nothing more to give,
When I'm finished with you, you'll be lucky to live.
If you try me be warned - this is no game,
If given the chance, I'll drive you insane.
I'll ravish your body, I'll control your mind,
I'll own you completely, your soul will be mine.
The nightmares I'll give you while lying in bed,
The voices you'll hear, from inside your head.
The sweats, the shakes, the visions you'll see,
I want you to know, these are all gifts from me.
But then it's too late, and you'll know in your heart,
That you are mine, and we shall not part.
You'll regret that you tried me, they always do,
But you came to me, not I to you.
You knew this would happen, many times you were told,
But you challenged my power, and chose to be bold.
You could have said no, and just walked away,
If you could live that day over, now what would you say?

How sad, such a beautiful, talented Spirit she was, even thru the depths of hell with Meth.... Even though this is so sad and so true, she was a very talented writer...This really makes one think about all the pain she went thru, this is so deep and soulful, and in every word, a part of her.....
Bless her heart...I pray she is in a better place now....And no more pain......
Thank You Friend Of Mine~ For sharing this........

Thank you for posting this. I have always referred to Meth, Heroin, Crack, etc . . . as Intravenous Pure Evil. Sadly not all can make it out of that living Hell to walk with God here. They end up finding peace only after they leave us.

SHE WAS SO TALENTED A LITTLE GIRL, JUST STARTED HER ADULT LIFE : BUT THE DRUGS TOOK HER AWAY....FROM LIFE....FROM HER FAMILY....FROM REALITY.....FROM ALL THE GOOD QUALITY THINGS OF A GOOD LIFE : DRUGS MEAN HELL AND DEATH AND DESTRUCTION !!!!!!! MAY SHE REST IN PEACE, AND MAY GOD HELP HER AND WELCOME HER IN HIS PARADISE, SHE IS NOT THE ONE TO BLAME : BUT THE DRUG-DEALERS ARE, THEY SHOULD BE PUNISHED SO MUCH...SO THEY WOULD NEVER SELL THIS KIND OF INVITATION TO HELL ANYMORE !!!!!!!!!

This Poem is the TRUTH! I am a 48 year old who was strung out on Meth for 5 years of my Life. I Believe this drug is Satan's Candy, and Poems like this should be published everywhere! With the Grace of God I was able to walk away from this drug, but not untouched. I walked away with M.S. symptoms. I have been clean now for 15 years I don't walk with a cane any longer, but my walk is unstable. I would like to know if I could publish this poem into my local little paper? Do you know the womens name who wrote this? Even though she might not be here in her Hell any longer, she needs the credit for this Poem. Please write to ebetide@care2.com to give me permission to do this. Thank you so much for sharing this.
God Bless you all.

I did my time with this horrendous beast and was lucky enough to beat it,but it cost me dearly! My heart goes out to this young soul lost before she had a chance to experience the pleasures of life. Also to her family for the lose of a beautiful and talented soul. This drug is no joke and its sad that more children are following in her footsteps.I think this poem should be published so more young people can read it & maybe think twice about what they are getting into. Thank you for sharing this awesome poetry!

Good day,
With warm heart i offer my friendship, and my greetings, and i hope this letter meets you in good time. It will be surprising for you to receive this proposal from me since you do not know me personally.
However, i am sincerely seeking your confidence in this transaction, which i, propose with my free mind and as a person of integrity.
A) It is practically impossible for me to carry out this business alone.
B) You live in a foreign land far away from mine. This should normally not be a requirement, but when you understand the transaction then you will understand why it is important that you live far away from me.
C) The amount of money involved in this transaction is Fifteen Million one hundred thousand united states dollars (US$15,100,000.00) which is too much for a man of modest means like myself to handle in my country.
I believe from my few points above, you can begin to get an idea why i need your participation.I am writing you in respect of a foreign customer who has a Domicilliary account in my bank. His name was Engineer Frank oliver. He was among those who died in a plane crash, Since the demise of this our customer, Engineer Frank oliver, who was an oil merchant/import & exporter, i have kept a close watch of the deposit records and accounts and since then nobody has come to claim the money in this a/c as next of kin to the late Engineer. He had only Fifteen Million one hundred thousand united states dollars (S$15,100,000.00) in his account and the account is coded.
It is only an insider that could produce the code of the deposit particulars. As it stands now, there is nobody in that position to produce the needed information other than my very self considering my position in the bank. Based on the reason that nobody has come forward to claim the deposit as next of kin, i hereby ask for your to send an application to the bank as he next of kin to the deceased and get this fund transfered into your foreign bank a/c for mutual sharing between myself and you, 5% for expences we will incure 35% for you and 60% for me.
All i need is for you to follow my instructions closely because i am experienced in inheritance matters here and i am on ground here to advice you on every step until you receive the. What is required of you is to send an application to the bank as next of kin to this late Engineer and i promise you that everything will go smoothly.
I also indulge you not to make undo use of the information given to you, i need also to trust that you will not tell people or your bank about this business. You will collect the money first, then I get my share, then you can tell anybody what you chose thereafter. I shall need your help to invest in your country; therefore, any experience you have in this area will be beneficial.
Please feel free to ask any question and seek for explanations through email or you call me on my direct line +229 95810736 if required and upon the receipt of your favourable esponses, you should include your telephone number for easy communication.

My Godson Jesse is in prison right now for his 2nd
conviction of 'selling meth' & of course, he got a "Possession" charge too. We were surprised but not shocked when he got 2 yrs. He got break after break, but the stuff is too powerful & an easy way
to make $$ & 'friends?' In any case, I'm going to
copy this poem down, it is the best I've seen about Meth- I just pray for her family, God bless
their hearts for going through what they did w/her. RIP NDN Sister. DawnnaBe

A powerful poem of personal tragedy. This poem should be used in anti drug campaigns everywhere. May she rest in peace and lay safely wrapped in the arms of angels. RebFem

RIP little heart. I have watched meth destroy so many lives. I agree this poem should be circulated. Thanx for sharing it.

As a former Meth addict (clean since 1997) I fully understand the power of this drug. I thank God that I was set free from this addiction through incarceration. Being incarcerated saved my life. I hadn't realized just how out of control I was. I thought that meth helped me stay focused but I was wrong. Altho it took my being incarcerated to set me free I feel that incarcerating meth addicts to sentences longer than murderers is wrong. There has to be another answer.

This brought a tear to my eye. I have seen a friend of mine change so drasticaly that I couldn't believe it was him. I went and get him twice down south from where he was. He had told me that he needed someone to pick him up, someone he trusted.
Now, he couldn't stay up here for too long. Meth's call was too loud and he went back. It breaks my heart. No one now knows where he might be, and I can only hope and pray that he is somewhere detoxing from that crap that meth is.
It is sad that this girl had such a grasp on it and was so conscious of what may happend to her. I now hope and pray that her words will get carried to as many as possible so all know what an evil Meth is.
I know that my friend is in an awful pain, and I alos know that he is so very conscious of who/what Meth is.
I wish that these words will one day get to him before (praying it is not yet.) it's too late.
Meth is my ennemy now. I never will let it be my friend. But I will always have a place in my heart for my friend... no matter what.
Meth dragged him so far down, that he can't even recognize his own self.
Please all prayers to reach him and all that are under the enslaving charms of that evil killer.
May love reaches all in that darkness.
Love is the way...
Ending this here with another tear in my eye.
Thanks for sharing for all to know the dark secrets of the darknesses.
Light for all. Love for all.
Freedom, Peace, Love, Respect, Humbleness, Courage and Unity to all that we are..... all.
Tuesday June 27, 2006, 12:55 am
I got some news from my friend.
He sent me an e-mail and told me that he just got out of a 6 months detox/therapy. I know that it is not over, but this is a huge step right now. He had told me not to loose hope.
I am so glad that he is safe and sound.
It is such a relief to know that he is alive...
I had to share this here.
There is hope... But it doesn't change the fact that meth is still my enemy. Meth is destructive and will always be.
May love be felt in all hearts so they do not turn to meth as a last resort.

Wow! It's so sad when you know that something other than yourself is in control and that it's wrong yet you're not able to stop the roller coaster and get off. Meth sux!

This is beautiful. I lost a step daughter on crystal meth. She took her life with a gun to the head. She Had lethal doses. Her Boy friend was the major contributer or factor. I hate drugs...

Progress in technology and knowledge is a two edge sword. One improves the conditions and health of the human community the other destroys. The damming thing is the people who use their knowledge to construct things of destruction and introduce them to people with complete understanding that this product will destroy the person or the child. It is similiar to a man raping a 1 year old child and feeling absolute pleasure from the act. Yes. the sad poem resonates the sorrow of many people in many countries. The drug maker and the drug seller do not care. They are addicted to money, they feel nothing, they have no care for killing a child or an adult. They look for easy targets, they want easy money, they do not want to work. The drug addict is looking for less stress, for pleasure for an escape. The entire drug scene is a sad depressing and seems to be an unending scene. The ancient cultures smoked their drugs in drugh dens, others chewed coca leaves and mushrooms as special rituals. Then the world smoked and chewed for recreation. Today meth and other drugs are promoted as recreational activity drugs, very much like a glass of wine or a cocktail.Destroying the brain, a life, a future is not a concern. Education may help, knowing that a drug is overpowering and destructive will not deter some but perhaps the knowledge will guide a person to make a decision to self destruct with drugs or to preserve oneself without it. Human intelligence varies with desire, boredom, anger, hate, knowledge the final outcome is the choice of the person. Children need to be educated to recognize a drug pusher and to become secure in their understanding to say no, to a close friend who is offering death of a self as fun. Adults have to chose to live a conscious life or to live in la la land. What does life have to offer that can compete with the high of a drug ?

This brought tears to my eyes and sorrow for this young, obviously talented young wasted life. Thank God, my one child that tried it was saved from the grips. Thank God he is alive, and well.

I have seen the way meth ruins people's lives first hand and am amazed that others are still willing to try it. I wish everybody could read this. Thank you for sharing.

Thier is no recovery for meth. Their is an illiusion of a posibility that may last years. Those who use once will again. I seen it to much when I was a cop. The best of people killed by this or at least if they could see what they were and what they became in a sober mind they would say they were killed to. In the end even those who had been clean and happy always return a few months a few years they do it again, and die again
