Every Human Has Rights Media Awards

2008 is the year of the US election. 2008 is Michael Jackson's 50th birthday. 2008 is the year of the Olympic Games in China. 2008 is maybe one very special year for you, but more importantly, 2008 is a very special year for human beings: 2008 is the Universal Declaration of Human Rights 60th birthday.

On the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Internews and the "Every Human Has Rights" campaign, supported by The Elders, will celebrate one year of collaboration with major Human Rights organizations. We are launching an international support campaign for the journalists who risk their lives every day to bring you news about the current state of human rights around the world.
