Feminism2.0 is conference, a conversation, a...movement?

The Internet has dissolved the barriers dividing the private from the public. Women from all walks of life are rushing into the online space to, among other things, donate money, sign petitions, express their opinions, argue and protest. This flood of women's participation is changing how issues are being discussed in this country and impacting how decisions are being made. Feminism 2.0 will bring together the leadership of major women’s advocacy organizations and online women’s communities to further the connection between today's issues and women's voices.

Taking place at the beginning of a new administration, the conference is intended to harness the power of women on the Internet, expand the audience of women engaged in online media activity and activism, and position women's issues and their advocates.

So, come to Fem2.0 and talk about Women, the Internet and the issues with people like:

Kim Gandy, President, National Organization for Women
Eleanor Smeal, President, Feminist Majority
Linda D. Hallman, CAE, Executive Director, American Association of University Women
Shireen Mitchell, Vice Chairman, National Council of Women’s Organizations
Elisa Camahort Page, Co-Founder, BlogHer
Liza Sabater, Blogger and Founder, Culture Kitchen
Dr. Dorothy Height, Chair and President Emeriita, National Council of Negro Women
Carol Jenkins, Presiden, Women’s Media Center
Maegan Maegan "la Mala" Ortiz, Managing Editor, VivirLatino.com

The following advocacy and online media are working together to make this project happen:
