When police raided the Stonewall Inn, a popular gay bar in the

Greenwich Village section of New York City on June 28, 1969, the street

erupted into protests that lasted for the next six days. The Stonewall uprising, as these protests came to be known, marked a

major turning point in the modern lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) movement in the United States and around the world.

We need JOBS, Healthcare, Housing, Public Education & Unions not austerity! Stand Up & Fight Back!

The Koch (Wall Street) funded, Americans For Prosperity is responsible for many forms of austerity:

- Funding right-wing Kansas legislators who just passed one of the worst anti-worker anti-community budgets in Kansas history;
...
- Funding efforts across the country to attack unions;

- Funding politicians (Gov. Sam Brownback, Scott Walker, Ric Snyder & many more) and right-wing think tanks with goals of attacking public education & enacting voter suppression laws that target people of color, LGBTQ people, workers, women, immigrants, the undocumented, retirees, and youth/students;

- And funding numerous other causes/policies that benefit the rich at the expense of the poor.

Join us July 10 to oppose the anti-people agenda of the (misnamed) Americans For Prosperity.

Protests will be at the two Americans For Prosperity offices in Kansas, same time at 5 p.m.:

- SW 24th and Topeka Blvd., Topeka, KS

AND

- 151 Whittier, Wichita, KS

Fagbug is a Volkswagen New Beetle owned by Erin Davies of Troy, New York who, in response to graffiti on her car, embarked on a trans-American road trip to raise awareness of gay rights

On April 18, 2007, Davies, an art education graduate student at Sage College of Albany, found the words "fAg" and "U R gay" spray-painted on her car.  In response, she put her studies on hold and embarked upon a video-documented, 55,000 mile (89,000 km) journey though 40 U.S. states, during which she interviewed 400 people and spoke out against hate crimes.  Davies received sponsorship from Volkswagen Group of America and the Sundance Film Festival to use for gas money, car expenses, and the film.  On August 17, 2009, Davies announced on her website that she is considering ending her campaign, stating that she was tired of all the publicity and hate.  Take this opportunity to see her film as this may be your last chance to see her in person.  The film will start at 5pm, and Q&A will take place afterwards.
