Last night, on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) introduced 35 articles of impeachment against President George W. Bush. Many of the articles -- which are listed at the bottom of this E-mail -- echoed calls and allegations we have been making since the launch of the American Freedom Campaign last July.
The next step is for the House to refer the articles to the House Judiciary Committee. The Judiciary Committee will then determine -- by majority vote -- whether the grounds for impeachment exist. An objective review of the articles would undoubtedly demonstrate that many, if not most, of the articles prepared by Rep. Kucinich are backed up by sufficient grounds to proceed with the impeachment process.
Now is the time to let your U.S. representative know that you strongly support impeachment hearings before the House Judiciary Committee and further proceedings on the House floor. Please take a moment to let your U.S. representative know that you support the impeachment of George W. Bush by clicking on the following link:
From torture to rendition to spying on Americans to abusing signing statements, Rep. Kucinich detailed all of the reasons why George W. Bush should be impeached. He included as Article XXVII one of the American Freedom Campaign's top issues: "Failing to Comply with Congressional Subpoenas and Instructing Former Employees Not to Comply."
The founders of our country feared more than anything else the prospect of an executive who put his own power and desires above the Constitution. Congress was given the power of impeachment so that it could remove any president who committed the high crime of violating the Constitution during his (or her) term in office.
A strong case can be made that no president in the history of this country is more deserving of impeachment than George W. Bush. If he is not impeached, the bar for impeachment will have been raised so high that it might as well no longer exist. Future presidents will know that they can violate the Constitution at will, confident in the fact that Congress does not have the courage as an institution to do anything about it.
We cannot allow this to happen. Please send an E-mail to your representative today urging immediate action on the impeachment of George W. Bush.
Once you have taken action yourself, please take a moment to forward this E-mail to as many people as you can.
Thank you for standing up for your country and the Constitution.

It's always good to review some cold weather tips during the Winter months. The following guidelines will help you protect your companion animals when the mercury dips. These tips and a wealth of other information can be found at the ASPCA web site.
1. Keep your cat inside. Outdoors, felines can freeze, become lost or be stolen, injured or killed. Cats who are allowed to stray are exposed to infectious diseases, including rabies, from other cats, dogs and wildlife.
2. During the winter, outdoor cats sometimes sleep under the hoods of cars. When the motor is started, the cat can be injured or killed by the fan belt. If there are outdoor cats in your area, bang loudly on the car hood before starting the engine to give the cat a chance to escape.
3. Never let your dog off the leash on snow or ice, especially during a snowstorm—dogs can lose their scent and easily become lost. More dogs are lost during the winter than during any other season, so make sure yours always wears ID tags.
4. Thoroughly wipe off your dog's legs and stomach when he comes in out of the sleet, snow or ice. He can ingest salt, antifreeze or other potentially dangerous chemicals while licking his paws, and his paw pads may also bleed from snow or encrusted ice.
5. Never shave your dog down to the skin in winter, as a longer coat will provide more warmth. When you bathe your dog in the colder months, be sure to completely dry him before taking him out for a walk. Own a short-haired breed? Consider getting him a coat or sweater with a high collar or turtleneck with coverage from the base of the tail to the belly. For many dogs, this is regulation winter wear.
6. Never leave your dog or cat alone in a car during cold weather. A car can act as a refrigerator in the winter, holding in the cold and causing the animal to freeze to death.
7. Puppies do not tolerate the cold as well as adult dogs, and may be difficult to housebreak during the winter. If your puppy appears to be sensitive to the weather, you may opt to paper-train him inside. If your dog is sensitive to the cold due to age, illness or breed type, take him outdoors only to relieve himself.
8. Does your dog spend a lot of time engaged in outdoor activities? Increase his supply of food, particularly protein, to keep him—and his fur—in tip-top shape.
9. Like coolant, antifreeze is a lethal poison for dogs and cats. Be sure to thoroughly clean up any spills from your vehicle, and consider using products that contain propylene glycol rather than ethylene glycol. Visit the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center more information.
10. Make sure your companion animal has a warm place to sleep, off the floor and away from all drafts. A cozy dog or cat bed with a warm blanket or pillow is perfect.
Simply put, Alaska's aerial hunting of wolves and other wildlife is brutal and unnecessary.
Fortunately, we can put an end to this brutal practice. I just urged my Representative to cosponsor the Protect America's Wildlife (PAW) Act -- legislation that will put an end to the slaughter from the skies. You can, too -- just follow this link:
I just watched a video that I think you might want to check out online at:
Warning: This video contains graphic footage of aerial wolf hunts -- wolves shot down from above, chased to exhaustion and wounded and left to die.
When people think of Alaska, they think of its amazing wildlife and natural beauty. But Alaska has a terrible secret: Each year, the state permits private citizens to chase down and kill dozens of wolves using low-flying aircraft and high-powered rifles.
Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and anti-wolf officials in the state have worked hard to obscure the truth about the aerial gunning program, even going so far as to earmark $400,000 in state funds to "educate" Alaskans about the state's baseless aerial gunning program.
Fortunately, there is something you and I can do to help.
Watch Defenders of Wildlife's new video and then take action to urge Governor Palin to end aerial hunting of wolves online at:

On April 30th, the Department of Interior announced plans to allow harmful drilling in tens-of-millions of acres of environmentally sensitive waters off the coasts of Virginia, Florida, and Alaska, including an area closed to drilling after the disastrous Exxon Valdez Oil Spill in 1989.
These areas are teeming with wildlife, including imperiled whales, sea otters and polar bears. New drilling could wreck these sensitive coastal ecosystems and the wildlife and tourist economies that depend on them.
Help me stop this awful plan. Take action online at:
Drilling rigs spew air pollution and toxic mercury emissions that can poison marine wildlife. The very loud airgun explosions from drilling exploration can cause whales to strand themselves on beaches and die. Increased offshore drilling raises the specter of another cataclysmic oil spill that could wreck the beautiful Virginia and Florida beaches where millions of Americans live or vacation.
At a time when we should be pursuing clean, renewable energy sources, the Bush/Cheney Administration has once again sought answers in a dirty drilling plan that will harm wildlife and speed up global warming.
Help me stand up for a smarter policy. Take action online now at:
A newly discovered chapter in the Book of Genesis has provided the answer to "Where do pets come from?"
Adam and Eve said, "Lord, when we were in the garden, you walked with us every day. Now we do not see you any more. We are lonesome here, and it is difficult for us to remember how much you love us."
And God said, I will create a companion for you that will be with you and who will be a reflection of my love for you, so that you will love me even when you cannot see me. Regardless of how selfish or childish or unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you are and will love you as I do, in spite of yourselves."
And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam and Eve. And it was a good animal. And God was pleased.
And the new animal was pleased to be with Adam and Eve and he wagged his tail.
And Adam said, "Lord, I have already named all the animals in the Kingdom and I cannot think of a name for this new animal."
And God said, "I have created this new animal to be a reflection of my love for you, his name will be a reflection of my own name, and you will call him DOG.."
And Dog lived with Adam and Eve and was a companion to them adored and loved them. And they were comforted. And God was pleased.
And Dog was content and wagged his tail.
After a while, it came to pass that an angel came to the Lord and said, "Lord, Adam and Eve have become filled with pride. They strut and preen like peacocks and they believe they are worthy of adoration. Dog has indeed taught them that they are loved, but perhaps too well."
And God said, I will create for them a companion who will be with them and who will see them as they are. The companion will remind them of their limitations, so they will know that they are not always worthy of adoration."
And God created CAT to be a companion to Adam and Eve.
And Cat would not obey them. And when Adam and Eve gazed into Cat's eyes, they were reminded that they were not the supreme beings. And Adam and Eve learned humility. And they were greatly improved.
Urgent - Exxon Chief to Chart America's Energy Future
The Bush administration has reached a new low with the appointment of Lee Raymond, the retired chief of ExxonMobil, to head a study to help America chart a cleaner course for our energy needs. Tell the administration that Exxon shouldn't be charting our energy future.
During his long tenure at ExxonMobil, the company:
* funded front groups that worked to discredit the science on global warming
* resisted funding clean energy alternatives
* lobbied aggressively to drill in the Arctic Refuge
This study should be in the hands of an independent body like the National Academy of Sciences. It's absurd to think that the ex-CEO of ExxonMobil will help us make the switch from oil to clean energy. Take Action!
Tell Energy Secretary Bodman:
Don't Let Big Oil Decide Our Energy Future!
The former CEO of ExxonMobil is the last person we need giving us advice on switching to clean energy and dealing with our dependence on oil.
Again my dear Care
friends I need your help
and it is really urgent .
I need you to sign my
petition "Stop the
Japanese from killing
whales " . Thank you so
much for all the support
and your signatures.
