 Grace's Law - Ga. House Bill 606 - this is a bill that would outlaw the use of gas chambers for euthanasia by Georgia's animal control facilities. The bill is named after a dog who survived the gas chamber.

Quite the opposite - the shrieks and screams of the unfortunates put to death in this way are a testimony to the lie

Only ONE PERCENT of all shelters in the U.S. still use this method. There are 15 shelters in Georgia that use the gas chambers. Georgia needs to come into the 21st century, and MUST stop literally torturing animals to death.

Georgia Voters for Animal Welfare needs YOUR help to end the madness. Here is your opportunity to make a difference.  Now comes the critical part. Last year, a similar bill died in committee.  We only have until March 12 to get the bill out of committee, so time is of the essence.

Please help Winging Cat Rescue save as many cats as possible!

I just voted in Care2.com's "America's Favorite Animal Shelter" contest to help my favorite animal welfare group, Winging Cat Rescue Inc, win a grand prize of $10,000. If you're not familiar with them, Winging Cat Rescue's mission is to save cats and kittens from death row. place them in foster care, and ultimately find forever homes for as many as possible. They are a nationwide licensed rescue organization currently focusing on (but not exlusive to) an animal control pound in Griffin, Georgia in the U.S. This pound uses inhumane gas chambers as their method of "euthanasia" and Winging Cat Rescue is determined to save as many cats as they can. They rely solely on private donations. You can visit their website to read more about their work, view some of the beautiful deserving cats they are trying to help and also learn about the low cost spay/neuter programs they sponsor.
