Rick Gore Natural Horsemanship Clinic Silsbee, Texas
Rick is a student of the horse. He relies on sacking out (Desensitizing/Sensitizing) to deal with spooky, abused or ex-race horses. He believes you have to teach a horse that it is alright to be scared. By approaching problems and issues from the “Horse’s” point of view you show the horse you understand them.“A bad horse is never born, they are made.”

Please visit the incredible website my friend Kindle created for my wild horse and burro rescue. It is AMAZING, and SO IS KINDLE! We will be getting two more mustang mares in a week or two. They were abused as rodeo buckers, then charro "tripping" horses, then ended up in the kill pen. Can't wait for them to arrive at their new, safe and peaceful home. http://www.journeysendranchanimalsanctuary.org
Our Baby colt, Dakota, has been imaginative, expressive, and does things i have not seen horses do before!
WE have been lucky to have dakota here with us, as he is easy training, "wants" to learn and do things. I have yet to find something that he is scared of, or won't do for me, after he has learned it.
8 months old now, and better behaved then most adult horses that I know! but then i spend 1 hour to 4 hours a day with just play training since he was born!
When the fur is finally peeled off over the animals' heads, their naked, bloody bodies are thrown onto a pile of those who have gone before them. Some are still alive, breathing in ragged gasps and blinking slowly. Some of the animals' hearts are still beating five to 10 minutes after they are skinned. One investigator recorded a skinned raccoon dog on the heap of carcasses who had enough strength to lift his bloodied head and stare into the camera.
Before they are skinned alive, animals are pulled from their cages and thrown to the ground; workers bludgeon them with metal rods or slam them on hard surfaces, causing broken bones and convulsions but not always immediate death. Animals watch helplessly as workers make their way down the row.
The Facts The Animals Beavers are extremely gentle, family-oriented animals who mate for life and remain life-long friends with their children. More >>Did You Know? Ranch-raised foxes are kept in cages only 2.5 feet square, with up to four animals per cage. More >>Foxes in Boxes In the U.S., fur farms produced approximately 50,000 fox-fur pelts last year. More >>Fur Farm Exposé Our investigators witnessed not only how animals live, but also how they die in the seedy world of fur farming. More >>Inside the Fur Industry: Factory Farms Eighty-five percent of the fur industry’s skins come from animals living captive on fur factory farms. More >>Suffering in the Wild: The Fur Industry and Indigenous Trappers The fur industry is shamelessly attempting to justify its bloody trade by claiming to care about indigenous people. More >>What We Uncovered on a “Modern” Fur Farm Furriers say their "farms" are modern: Their cages are clean, the animals are happy, and death is humane. You be the judge. More >>Fur: Mean, Not "Green" Fur has fallen so far from grace that furriers are now trying to convince consumers that pelts are eco-friendly. More >>

3 puppies dumped and needing homes1Monday, 9:22 AM
located in texas:
3 pups dumped and needs home, please cross post these little pups were just dumped off in the woods. a good citizen found them and brought them home to care and get them healthy again. but she can't keep them, and is looking to find homes for these cute fur babies. so please, cross post that these dogs need adoptions, they are fostered at this time, by a good person, not a rescuer, and really need to find a permanent place for them to go.
its ashame, that people will dump animals and burden the rest of us with these situations. we often time, take money we dont' have really to help the animals, we often take time out of our days to handle, train, or get these animals to vets. plus the time to post/advertise and hope for homes for them. why?/ someone didn't care if they died, another did care. its the caring that costs us! i have been her many a time. i have gotten where i just hate those people that dump their unwanted on the rest of us, that won't let the fur babies die harsh/cruel deaths in the middle of woods and highways!
for adoption or inquiry of these pups...contact the following person: Laura Roberts ________________________________ Laura Roberts Accounts Payable Western Forge & Flange (281) 727-7000 lroberts@western-forge.com
out several times for signatures, and i can't believe that a week before i need to send this petition to the judge, that i don't have the signatures i need to make this statement!
is it ok with everyone that this woman has gotten away with abuse of many animals, and got to do it again to even a greater number of animals?... that the same judge in sept,( a local t.v. celebrity, that claims to be hard on abusers), is also the judge that let her go the first time??
are my friends that i am connected to even active, caring, or looking at this petition?
i work very hard and have been here a great deal on care2. i have donated, transported, pulled animals from pounds, signed petitions, and even been supportive to those that have lost pets. i worked and was involved with saving dogs out of pounds during hurricanes, and i have thousands of rescued dogs in my photo albums, along with assisted in katrina/rita animals in the swamps of lousiana at that time. i help my local pound, that is near to being a no kill facility since met the ACO here in silsbee texas. i host several groups, and which i can't seem to get people to join.
has care2 lost its pizzaz? has it lost its power? are the people getting numb to the work that is never ending, unless things change in this world. is the unity, the togetherness, the voices no longer there or heard anymore within care2. has the fighters left to be else where?
i wonder of the signatures. as i don't put petitions out very often..i wonder if there is anyone out there to stand with me in the fight for the animals. if the voices we had are silent now, and ineffective.
this petition is a great disappointment to me, and what i believed very important to the laws for animals, an example of justice not served the first time around, and wanted to be heard to voice my objections and see that justice was served this time around. but i can't do these things along, and all myself. my own voice is not loud enough with the shouting of others with me!
if i am of little affect here, and have lost my friends that may be else where, perhaps i need to go find the strong, the hard, the willing again.
sigh...and feeling a bit alone these days for the many friends i have been connected, i can't seem to find that many to hear my tiny voice of concerns and causes that are important to me?
tell me what i have done wrong, or could do better that will help raise the sounds and make a difference here on care2? tell me why my friends have not noticed this, that i am connected too? why i am struggling with all i have to meet this deadline for this petition and can't seem to do it?
please sign..if you have heard me at all??? this is my last request for this help. thank you.
We have a new group in town. this group is different, its being developed as a place that rescuer's can get help, such as vet, foods, or other needs for thier rescued animals.
the group came by invitation of kindle to find people to assist or be assisted by these programs.
Melissa H. is the owner, of the organization and she is based in New York. she rescue's animals herself, and provides means for other's that rescue also.
Her goal is to make a nationwide warehouse for rescuers to get the items they are always short of.
various products, foods, equipment, cages, etc. even vetting needs whenever that is possible.
check it out, and come talk to us if your a rescuer and have things you need to have help with.
THIS CAME IN PRIVATE MESSAGE, BUT WOULD LIKE TO SHARE THAT THIS LITTLE GREYHOUND IS NEEDING A FAMILY/HOME WITH EITHER NO DOGS, OR LARGER DOGS. ITS BEEN IN RESCUE FOR SUCH A LONG TIME, AND ALTHOU NOT A THREAT OF DEATH SENTENCES ANYMORE, ITS STILL HAVING TO SHARE LOVE, AND ONLY BE ATTENDED TO, IN MEASURED SCHEDULEDS, WHICH IS NOT THE SAME AS A REAL HOME AND FAMILY OF HER OWN, AND THE ONE ON ONE ATTENTIONS IT WOULD GET FROM A NICE OWNER THAT LOVES HER. IF YOU CAN'T HELP, PLEASE CROSS POST TO THOSE FRIENDS THAT MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING A SPECIAL GREYHOUND INTO THEIR HOUSEHOLD AND FAMILY. THANK YOU AND HUGS KINDLE
Original Message: ----------------- Hey guys, please help me get the word out. We have Dora, a red/fawn female. whelped on 1/9/05. We have had her for about 5 months, longer that any other dog we have ever had. She is Small animal aggressive and we have been unable to find the right home for her. She is a very playful and loving dog. I am at a loss as to how to find her the appropriate home. Any ideas?
Your in Texas right?? If so can you post a photo and info and contact info for Dora there (or if you want them to go to your site) and I'll copy it and forward it around to my friends that are in Texas for you to hopefully help find a good family for her. Hugs! Jamie
PLEASE PLEASE...sign and cross post this peitition, is time limited.
I NEED TO SEND THIS PETITION TO JUDGE NAZARETIAN, IN FLORIDA BEFORE SEPT 2009, COURT DATE.
I am not tolerant to this woman being let go again, to do her cruelty on animals. nor should this judge be merciful about this, since she is repeat offender and has not yet paid for her crimes the first couple times around, with the death, illness of animals.
i have to at least get 1000 signatures on this petition.
i need at least 1000 signatures on this petition, to send to judge and show him the seriousness of letting such abuser's back out, for repeat acts of neglect to animals!
this particular judge, if you read my shares, is a t.v. judge at that, that made statements in public that he is not tolerant of abusers, but he let cynthia go the first time around and allowed her to repeat her crimes, then delayed this last hearing til sept.
i am serious that i dont' want this woman out to do things again, and i dont' find that this judge's words hold water when it comes to abuse/neglects.
please cross post this to your friends, i need these signatures in 2 weeks to send this petition to the courts.
