Eighty greyhounds now left in need of homes
The daunting task of finding homes for these dogs has fallen to June Bazar, the director of the Twin River Greyhound Adoption Program. While June willingly accepts this task and is working diligently to find homes for all the greyhounds, she is fearful that she may not be able to place so many dogs before the June 30 deadline imposed on her.
Rallying all resources to help
After 30 years as the director of the greyhound adoption program, June has numerous resources at her disposal, including a long list of current and previous greyhound owners. In an effort to place as many dogs as possible, June has been contacting her many resources asking for help and hoping that some of these contacts may be amenable to a new adoption. She is also networking with similar greyhound adoption groups located outside of the state of Rhode Island for help.
Eleven placed, so many still left homeless

3 puppies dumped and needing homes1Monday, 9:22 AM
located in texas:
3 pups dumped and needs home, please cross post these little pups were just dumped off in the woods. a good citizen found them and brought them home to care and get them healthy again. but she can't keep them, and is looking to find homes for these cute fur babies. so please, cross post that these dogs need adoptions, they are fostered at this time, by a good person, not a rescuer, and really need to find a permanent place for them to go.
its ashame, that people will dump animals and burden the rest of us with these situations. we often time, take money we dont' have really to help the animals, we often take time out of our days to handle, train, or get these animals to vets. plus the time to post/advertise and hope for homes for them. why?/ someone didn't care if they died, another did care. its the caring that costs us! i have been her many a time. i have gotten where i just hate those people that dump their unwanted on the rest of us, that won't let the fur babies die harsh/cruel deaths in the middle of woods and highways!
for adoption or inquiry of these pups...contact the following person: Laura Roberts ________________________________ Laura Roberts Accounts Payable Western Forge & Flange (281) 727-7000 lroberts@western-forge.com

Her goal is to make a nationwide warehouse for rescuers to get the items they are always short of.
various products, foods, equipment, cages, etc. even vetting needs whenever that is possible.
check it out, and come talk to us if your a rescuer and have things you need to have help with.
i need at least 1000 signatures on this petition, to send to judge and show him the seriousness of letting such abuser's back out, for repeat acts of neglect to animals!
this particular judge, if you read my shares, is a t.v. judge at that, that made statements in public that he is not tolerant of abusers, but he let cynthia go the first time around and allowed her to repeat her crimes, then delayed this last hearing til sept.
i am serious that i dont' want this woman out to do things again, and i dont' find that this judge's words hold water when it comes to abuse/neglects.
please cross post this to your friends, i need these signatures in 2 weeks to send this petition to the courts.

In April 2009, EPA issued an advisory concerning spot-on pesticide products for flea and tick control in cats and dogs. The advisory applies to approximately 70 products registered by EPA.
EPA is intensifying its evaluation of these products due to recent increases in the number of reported bad reactions. The reactions range from mild skin irritation to skin burns, seizures, and, in some cases, death. In May 2009, EPA met with registrants of spot-on pet pesticide products to discuss pet incident reports and EPA’s plans for enhanced evaluation of these products. EPA’s evaluation may result in actions such as additional label restrictions or cancellation of registration to remove certain spot-on products from the market.
Spot-on flea and tick products can be effective treatments, and many people use the products with no harmful effects to their pets. EPA does not advise pet owners to stop using spot-ons, but asks them to use caution and make informed decisions when selecting treatment methods.
EPA advises pet owners to
carefully follow label directions and monitor their pets for any signs of a bad reaction after application, particularly when using these products for the first time

Health Canada (the Canadian federal health department) has identified similar concerns about the use of spot-on flea and tick products, and is working with EPA to address the issue.

FDA Takes Action Against Teva Animal Health Inc. Company fails to adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced a consent decree of permanent injunction filed today, that prohibits Teva Animal Health Inc., its president, and two principals from its parent company, from manufacturing and distributing adulterated veterinary drugs. The injunction, once entered by the court, will prevent the defendants from manufacturing and distributing veterinary drugs until they achieve compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and obtain FDA approval.
“Good manufacturing practice standards are the backbone of product quality and the instrument on which the FDA relies most heavily for assurance that veterinary drug products are safe and effective,” said Bernadette Dunham, D.V.M., Ph.D., director of the FDA’s Center for Veterinary Medicine.
During inspections between 2007 and 2009, the FDA found significant cGMP violations at Teva Animal Health's facilities, located in St. Joseph, Mo.
Under the terms of the consent decree, Teva Animal Health cannot resume manufacturing and distributing veterinary drugs until adequate methods, facilities, and controls are established and an independent expert inspects the facilities and procedures and certifies that they comply with cGMP. The FDA also will also inspect Teva Animal Health's facilities as needed before authorizing the company to resume operations. If, after resuming operations, the defendants fail to comply with any provision of the consent decree, cGMP, or the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, the FDA may order the company to stop manufacturing and distributing veterinary drugs, recall the products, or take other corrective actions.
“The FDA will not tolerate the manufacture and distribution of adulterated animal drugs,” said Michael Chappell, the FDA’s acting associate commissioner for regulatory affairs. “Veterinarians and pet owners can be assured that the FDA will investigate and take regulatory actions against companies that produce animal drugs under conditions and controls that are inadequate to assure their safety and quality.”
In the event of future violations, the consent decree also subjects Teva Animal Health to payments of $20,000 for each day the defendants fail to comply with any provision of the decree and an additional $25,000 for each shipment of veterinary drugs in violation of the decree, up to $7.5 million per year.
