I visit daily the "CLICK TO DONATE" page here at Care2.com, and it's honestly boggling my mind why the number of total clicks for the 12 LISTED CAUSES is abnormally low. Especially, considering that there are approximately 10 MILLION REGISTERED MEMBERS OF THIS WEBSITE!

Come on people, you can do better than 6000 clicks, which is the average daily number of CLICKS for the TOP CLICKED CAUSE. The clicks are FREE; and it takes all of ONE MINUTE for me to click on EVERY SINGLE CAUSE totaling 12 clicks every day.

Why don't we take greater advantage of the sponsors, who donate money to these causes simply because someone clicked on a button!

PEOPLE, WE CAN DO BETTER; AND WE MUST DO BETTER IF WE TRULY INTEND TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Urge Congress to Permanently Protect the Arctic Refuge!
Target: U.S. House of Representatives
Sponsored by:
Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund

The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is home to caribou, snow fox and millions of migratory birds. It is also the most important onshore denning habitat for America's vanishing polar bears.

But this natural treasure is constantly under siege. Time and time again, the oil industry and their allies in Congress have sought to open this special place to harmful new drilling, threatening all of the wildlife that depend on it for survival.

We need to permanently protect the Arctic Refuge! Urge your Representative to support the Udall-Eisenhower Arctic Wilderness Act (H.R. 39) to permanently protect the coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

Save Our Seals: Hawaiian Monk Seals Facing Extinction
Target: Mary Glackin, Acting NOAA Administrator
Sponsored by: Marine Conservation Biology Institute

The Hawaiian monk seal is disappearing. And because they are found only in the U.S., it is our responsibility to save them. With fewer than 1,200 individuals remaining, it is more endangered than the giant panda or the Asian elephant.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has gotten off to a good start: they created the Hawaiian Monk Seal Recovery Team to coordinate the urgent response essential to the seal's recovery. But more must be done! The Recovery Team needs $7 million a year to save our seals, but NOAA has not adequately funded the plan. Meanwhile, the Hawaiian monk seal population continues to plummet.

We are facing an escalating crisis, and we need your help - today! Urge Mary Glackin, acting NOAA administrator, to show support for properly funding the Hawaiian Monk Seal Recovery Plan.

Mare and foal awaiting slaughter

Stop the Export of Horses for Slaughter!
Target: John D. Conyers, (D-MI), Chairman, House Judiciary Committee

A petition to stop the export of US horses and their senseless, barbaric slaughter.

Dear Representative Conyers:

We, the undersigned, thank you from our hearts for introducing H.R. 503, the Prevention of Equine Cruelty Act, and your time in reading this letter.

As you are aware, nearly 400,000 U.S. horses were exported for slaughter. On the way to the slaugher houses, they are made to endure tremendous suffering and many die before reaching the slaughter house. Perhaps they are the fortunate ones because the fate that awaits those who survive is barbaric, cruel, inhumane. It reflects the worst in human nature. Most are butchered while still alive! This must stop! Please make certain that H.R. 503 passes in this year's Congress.
