...so Hi There!  I've been extremely affected by the  POLLEN COUNT !!   (Gag! sneeze, gasp cough, hack!!)  I have been affected in my neck with lots of soreness and a lump or two, but it's finally (?) breaking as the leaves truly bud out, and the flower buds are at fullness in the fruit trees... oooh My GaWD!  < I usually do not get it in the Springtime (only autumn) ...*** what all do you Care2 folks take for relief, when your eyes & lids feel like they weigh several pounds, and your ears and neck are tight & crackle-y?   Yuck!! (Enough!!) ========= I did manage to spend some time in my yard, readying my Bearded IRIS flower plot - so that I can take my lovely IRIS to the local cemetery at Memorial Day.  I started this personal ritual several years ago, and enjoy doing it very much*!!!  >Who else at Care 2 takes their own flowers to the cemetery ? ===  I am curious~!!!!  Please comment if you do, and what kinds of flowers you take!!

Doll Parts Sewn together - see photo

Progress on attaching parts of doll with hand-stitching = If you are attempting this, please ask any questions on how I "hold" together parts while making stitches- how I make a tiny hem etc. etc. ? A lot of luck & patience is involved in putting these doll parts together successfully.   //  Adding information:  Notice how the one leg is up in the air (supposedly) in this scan: I am trying to visually show that leg has to be stitched VERY CAREFULLY along the outside edges, but first do each leg on front of doll and curve around, reserving the back outside edges after you see the flow of fabric (& how it fits together). > Do you want to stuff more than I did in this view?  I myself am leaving space inside the lower torso, for doll's ability to bend & sit... though she will also sit if stuffed all the way around & inside full length of torso, but then she will sit propped at a higher level.

I'm getting quite a few pics up as stitching is starting on my country cloth doll ~(pioneer heirloom dolly)~  My COUNTRY CLoTH DoLL Album is on page 3 of my albums, and I am up over 10 pics... Oooh, the JOY of sewing... with just a needle & a thread*!! ***STiTCHiNG***   You can do it - I know you can!  What a wonderful form of MEDITATION ALSO!!  The preparation is what takes a little bit of time.... I will walk you through simple old-fashioned doll-making steps, if you come & join in on my group  - YoU Do NoT have to "Know how to sew"...  You SHOULD know how to thread a needle & "stitch".   It's VeRy "organic" - the Indians used to stitch also - why have we forgotton how to do this simple procedure?  Let's speak about stitching in a "spiritual way" - I am a struggling doll-maker, but we can stitch= just to learn to "stitch" - *Drop by my group: Hand-Sewn dolls.  (Let's discuss the values of hand-stitching)!!

Hi out there to anyone who might be interested*!! ~~some of you know how I struggle with my older PC here at Care2, but I just got sorta fixed up for the group that I have tried to get started for awhile. Come to Care2 groups  >HAND-SEWN DOLLS.  I will hopefully change the image for the group, but wanted to start with this book cover, because I HAVE SEWN (hand-sewn) over 50% of the patterns in it, and know that all can be made completely by hand, if you would want to. (I do not ever use a machine).  I can help with these designs, and eBay has this book often for very "cheap"= LOL!!  But I also make art-dolls, spirit dolls, and am working on some modern surreal dolls & critters - my list of types is long. ~ COME DRoP by the group, or join!!

 Heck !!!  Regardless of the Ground-Hog's shadow (or not...) ~~ I am itchin' fer Spring!!  It's taking a lot of wind and many days to melt the ice-crud off o' my poor ol' dilapidated patio !  I need new concrete there...  but that's another story.  It's frigid February, and I am ready to see some flowers start to bloom .....guess I'll hibernate a while longer with some coffee... ooooh, I'm  all out of Starbuck's -- off I go~!!!   ALSO: Drop by my new silly album on page 3 of my photo albums- something to cheer up the droopy day - get a cheap laugh*!!!  (FuNNy EYe CaNDY) ~~~  & HaPpY V.
