Halotherapy or salt therapy, which is carried out in the salt room is a natural, proven effective method that solves the problems that cause: asthma, bronchitis, allergies, rhinitis, sinusitis, laryngitis, tonsillitis, in general, all respiratory problems, but also is recommended for smokers as help with quitting smoking, followed by skin problems (psoriasis, dermatitis), and to strengthen the body and increase immunity. Therapy is recommended for children, pregnant women, adults and older people.

What is a salt room?

Salt room is a room whose walls, floor and ceiling are completely covered with salt. A special device called halogenerator for the duration of therapy in a room blows tiny finest particles of rock salt, creating a special microclimate that is found in salt caverns, a therapy that is carried out in the salt room is officially called halotherapy.
Halotherapy a new branch speleotherapy, methods of treatment that dates from the late nineteenth century and which are conducted in natural environments - salt mines and salt caverns. Halotherapy treatment is based on inhalation of micro particles of dry salt aerosol. Therapy for adults is 40 minutes in a very pleasant and relaxing environment. People sitting in chairs relax with a light, meditative music and dim lighting in color. Natural salt is a natural hypnotic to the occupation of the therapy spend sleeping. The salt room, besides salt therapy, has positive effect on people and other complementary therapies.

Salt room for children is a true children's playroom "in salt". Therapy for children is 20 minutes and children are receiving therapy through play. Sol which lies on the floor reminds them on the sand from the beach which further contribute to the toys that are available to them and to the buckets, shovels, rake, etc. Children must stay in the room, accompanied by the person who led them (parent, grandparent, aunt, etc.) The room is completely coated with salt because salt keeps the humidity and temperature of the space and also makes it almost aseptic.
The positive effect of treatment is reflected in the fact that children with therapy are becoming more immunes, it is shortening their duration of illness and they are less absent from day care and schools, while adult patients are more tolerant of the work effort and have less time out of work.
Dry spray has proven to have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effect, reduces edema, increases the protective properties of the mucus membranes of respiratory tract, stimulates macrophage activity and together with the mucolytic activity forms the basis halotherapy. The most effective therapeutic effect on the respiratory tract has an aerosol of sodium chloride, and this fact has been scientifically recognized around the world. For physical and chemical properties of dry aerosol has a high permeability and penetrates deeper into the respiratory tract compared to the wet aerosol, and is effective in very small doses. No need to mention its importance of tonsillitis treatment and to check is tonsillitis contagious?

Speleotherapy

Speleotherapy (from the Greek speleos – Cave) is a method, which is based on well dosed patient’s stay in a specific microclimate of the cave. Speleotherapy has been practiced for hundreds of years in salt mines in Eastern Europe. Patients with asthma, chronic bronchitis and other respiratory diseases spend a few days or weeks in these mines, breathing in the salty air and gaining numerous benefits from the special microclimate of these “salt caves”.  Speleotherapy is also known as salt therapy, or salt caves therapy.
