Why closing  the group? I think there are many who would like to contribute. The problem is many do not know about the group. We need to spread awareness about this group. A sort of agressive marketing attitude is needed.Lets starts afresh in the new year.

With aqua blue dominating, greenery hardly visible, spreading black shadow of death, lifeless pale, icy white, and redness of fire and blood, the earth present a gloomy picture, flat shallow and hollow  like a figure drawn on a paper. Soon our earth will look like this.   The environmental experts are saying that the global warming is playing havoc and destruction of our beloved earth is inevitable. There will be unusual rains, floods, feminine, storms, tsunami and earthquake. According to some experts the situation has reached at a stage of no return. Due to rise in global mean temperature during last 150 years of about 2 degree, the ice of Polar Regions, mountains peaks and glaciers have melted. This has caused rise in water level of sea threatening submerge of cities like London, New York, Calcutta, Cairo and many big and small islands including Mauritius and many such places.  The warming of our planet is due to green house affect. Who is to be blamed for this state of affairs? Among the gases which causes green house affect, carbon dioxide plays a major role but it has now been established that many other gases and compounds also causes green house affect ,such as methane, nitrogen oxide, sulphur dioxide, ozone and compound like water vapors, carbon dust, smog and hydrocarbons.    For global warming mainly the civilized man is to be blamed. At one hand the man is burning coal, petrol, and gas and thus creating green house affect, and at the same time destroying the greenery and water bodies. Experts have estimated that in the next 100 years the mean temperature of earth will rise by 5.8 degree cel. Though many nations did enter into an agreement in 1997, towards reducing green house gases, sadly nothing significant has been done in this regard. It is important to mention that emission level of green house gases in USA was 25 %, and that country was required to bring it down to 7%. The Clinton Government though signed the treaty of 1997 but Bush Government’s indifferent stand has caused concern.   Though other natural process like increased warming of Sun , strange working of Al Niño and La Nina systems and solar rays are also responsible for global warming, its mainly the human being who is responsible and to be held guilty.   Just imagine what havoc would cause the global warming in India alone.  The strike of global warming would melt the ice in Himalayas. Already, the main glaciers of Himalayas have reduced by 10 to 15 meters. The Gangotri glaciers have reduced by 23 mts per year. The result will be catastrophic; the rising water in rivers in India would submerge many cities. First there will be rise in the water level causing mass scale destruction of humans and property due to flood and subsequently due to receding of water level there would be feminine causing mass scale death and destruction man and property.   No wonder the earth will be less green, more aqua blue, pale, red and black and it will be a hollow sphere just like a flat ugly picture on a paper.

The nature has always been associated with God in India. We have been worshiping trees, rivers, mountain, fire, water, and wind etc, in the form of God and Goddesses. That being so, the purpose of education in ancient India, was aimed at helping human beings achieve resemblance to God's perfection, his nature of multiplication, adaptation, love and affection, and his nature of dominion. From these goals, the ideals of education were established in Mother Nature and naturally the ancient Indians recognized nature as the greatest teacher. The concept of Gurukul (Guru=teacher, kul= his domain), in ancient India, was therefore for realisation of these ideals, where Guru –Shishya (Teacher-Student), resided together in Guru’s Ashrams (Gurukul) close to the Mother Nature, learning together lessons from nature. In a Gurukul both the teacher and the student develops close relationship with nature, observing organisms sharing their environments, and learning lessons from the nature. If we trace back the process of adaptations on this earth, we find that, all along, the human beings have learnt a great deal from Mother Nature. The Eskimos learnt building snow houses to warm them Igloo from Polar bears. The indigenous people of Amazon Basin observed the deadly effect of the poison of Dart Frog on its predators, and applied the same poison on their arrows to kill their hunt. In the course of time the human beings learnt from nature, how to draw water to a higher level, by observing the natural processes like the solar-powered transpiration in trees, as a process to move tones of water up hundreds of feet, and how mangroves remove salt from water, and how termites regulate the temperatures in their shelters through structural design. The nature inspired us to make   solar cells (copied from leaves), fibers woven spider-style (spider web), computers that signal like body cells. We have learnt to camouflage our selves from enemies, from Chameleons and cuttlefish, changing the pattern of their skin to instantly blend with their surroundings. We have learnt weaving from spider and making houses from the birds. We realize that all our inventions have already appeared in nature in a more elegant form and at a lot less cost to the planet.  We have to recognize them and get ourselves educated. The nature undergoes change every moment. Thus there exist phases of moon, the seasons, the day and nights, the love and hatred, the sorrows and happiness, the life and death but the wheel of live moves. It is within this circle of life and death the nature teaches us our existence for each one of us has a purpose, a dream, a vision, a destiny to fulfill. The nature teach us that every beginning has an ending and every ending has a  new beginning, for every tree dies leavings its seed to bring new sapling. Unconditional love is the blessing of the nature. Love is free in nature; nature spread it equally to all species. A tree gives its fruits, fragrance, and shadow, to all irrespective of any reservations. Thus nature teach us to  receive love in all of its forms as it is given and  express love in all of its forms as it is taken . It is the greatest gift that we can give to one another! The nature teaches us to be submissive. The cane survives a storm because it bends; where as a tall tree is uprooted because it is arrogant and never bends. Freedom is the essence of Life. Every species on this earth is special and enjoys freedom of its own.   The nature teaches free to live our lives as we desire in accordance to our true will without causing harm to another. Thus the nature is the Greatest Teacher! She is the soul of existence. It is from her we draw breath and return it at the end. It is important to respect nature as we respect our teacher.
