“Heart of Australia” is a song which was written and recorded by the award-winning South African recording artist, Louise du Toit, for the wild horses of Australia, widely known as the Brumbies. Based on an original poem by Laura Kett, a young Australian girl who loves these divine horses with heart and soul, the lyrics depict the wonderful free spirit of the Brumbies; so unjustifiably persecuted, so sadly subjected to immense suffering at the hands of humans. These magnificent animals are superior to humans in many ways; yet, the latter continues to treat them with the utmost disrespect, diminishing them to mere objects, brutally mass-murdering them in the name of so-called conservation, slowly pushing them to definite extinction. There are many worthy organizations and also individuals who support the cause of the Brumbies, but this specific song is linked to the admirable HOOFS2010 Inc - a wonderful non-profit Australian organization dedicated to protect them, tirelessly working towards their ultimate survival. With the consent of both Louise and Laura, the income of the sales of this single will be forwarded to HOOFS2010 Inc, as a donation to endorse the funds needed to save as many Brumbies as possible.
