What a wonderful feeling becoming a Pet Foster Parent!
I received my first little one this weekend, a stray terrier who was picked up by the police department and turned over to the humane society because no one claimed him.
Poor thing was missing a tooth and had a horrible case of fleas. Thank goodness for places such as rescue and humane societies who first attend to their medical care and then help place them in loving caring homes.
I fell in love with the scared sad little face the moment I saw him. He is a joy to have and love as he recovers from the experiences of cruelty.
So many animals are needed to be placed with Foster Parents because so many have been left to fend on their own and the shelters are becoming over crowded. It takes some time and lots of love but that wagging tail makes it well worth it.
Of course it will be difficult to part when he becomes adopted, but he will have a permanent home and I will be able to help and love one more!
