Your Life is 64% Green
You live a very green life, and you're aware of how your actions help the earth.
Of course, it's hard to be totally green. But when you make a tradeoff, you know why you're making it.

I took this test yesterday and only scord 56%... Well, it may not be consistant but there's a good list of things you can do to help!

I just wanted to let everyone know about New American Dream. It's a great web resource for getting more of what matters in your life. I put many of their suggested practices to use over the holidays and will continue to use their suggestions every day. Every person who makes the commitment in their lives to reduce waste, reuse/recycle & reject the commercial poisoning of our children will be doing a service to our environment that is beyond measure.
New American Dream can help you live consciously, buy wisely and really, truely make a difference.
Check them out! http://www.newdream.org/index.php

The Green Man Coming

I went out one bleak December morning,
the air was chill and the trees hung bare.
The small birds hushed their pretty voices
and the fields lay cold no comfort there.

Far away came sweet caroling,
soft and gentle, a sad refrain.
It spoke of kings both dead and dying,
with the growing sun, would rise again.

Their song was older, older than the wisest mages.
Older than the times of men.
It echoed down the long dark ages
and spoke of life that comes again.

Fear not, fear not the winter's long night.
Fear not the blizzard storming white.
There comes a king who yet lies sleeping,
to return when the green man brings the spring.

I turned my face to that winter morning.
Saw the sunrise in the sky.
It seemed to me the earth was singing,
of the Green man coming by and by.

Winter's storms may rage most wildly.
The earth may rock and roil in pain.
The hand of man may move unkindly,
but the Green Man will return again.

Give thanks, give thanks for the growing day light. Give thanks for the sun, shining bright.
The king of Summer is homeward treading,
bearing gifts for the sacred wedding.

I walked out that short day dawning.
My step was light, I was full of cheer,
and all the while my heart was singing,
for the Green Man and the coming year.

I wish I knew who wrote the poem, it was sent to me by my friend Lis.

As pagans, there are many holidays that the world celebrates that we don't. Coming up are two...St. Patricks Day and Easter. Now I can see Easter, sort of, as it was a pagan holiday that the Christians kind of took over. Yeah, it's supposed to...
