The Community Action organization, for Perry County, Ohio, has a new program for clients who have had troubles with electricity bills. Today, they came and replaced every light bulb in our home with those low-energy, long-life bulbs! They checked our main appliances and determined they will get a us a brand new more energy efficient refrigerator, too!
It is always a blessing when a program gets funding to help low-income households in such long-term, sensible ways!!!
Peace~

The Hope Force International Organization:
http://www.hopeforce.org/index.php
Mission

Hope Force International is committed to motivating, equipping and mobilizing the global Christian community to respond in times of crisis and chronic need, alleviating suffering and bringing hope through compassionate action.

Vision
Hope Force International is dedicated to providing a clear pathway for Christians, worldwide, to become leading responders to the plight of global suffering.

Core Values
We are committed to:
Love and obey God
Love and serve others
Demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism
Model servant leadership
Embrace an environment that fosters teamwork, trust and accountability
Follow the ways of God in all that we do

What is Hope Force International?
Hope Force International is a Christian 501(c)3, non-profit
organization comprised of individuals dedicated to utilizing their
expertise to inspire, equip and mobilize thousands of volunteers into areas of crisis around the world.

Why Do We Exist?
Hope Force International OrgWe believe that disasters – both manmade and natural – will continue to be on the increase. We believe that Christians have a mandate torespond to the plight of those suffering from disaster or chronic need. However, while the need is so great and growing daily, the relative numbers of responders are few. It is our firm belief that there would be a dramatic increase in Christian responders if accessibility to
preparation and direct involvement were more attainable.

Dear Friends,
I just discovered this and felt we should keep it handy for future reference and/or needs. Also, I do not feel that only Christians do good works, so don't let that turn you away if the org's works interest you.
Peace~ KathleenR/AngelFaith              ~The Angel Power Emporium~

Hello!
I've been spending hours exploring Care2 & groups & networks. And, so I wonder: Shouldn't  we ALL be friends?!?  Info would spread even more quickly, and, our groups would gain potency  -  helping our causes all the more!!  Please,  introduce me, my groups (I host two), my sharebook, etc. to all of your friends (& networks). The people with the power to actually cause improvements for our causes would certainly appreciate the backing of groups with huge numbers of backers! Of course, you can also invite me to others, too.
My new online graduate course just started, though, so my time available for communications will be irratic. However, I will still read & post & stay informed.
Thank you ~ It is extremely heartwarming finding others who also truly do CARE!!!
PEACE,
Kathleen  The Angel Power Emporium
