President Bush just proposed drastic cuts to NPR and PBS. We've stopped similar cuts in the past, but enough is enough: With the new Congress, we can make sure this never happens again.
We need Congress to save NPR and PBS once and for all.
Can you help out by signing this petition to Congress? It's really easy—just click the link below:

Since Thursday afternoon, 370,018 of us have called on Congress to stop President Bush's budget cuts and save NPR and PBS. 370,000 of us in just 36 hours!
Can you help make it half a million signatures? Here's what the petition says: "Congress must save NPR and PBS once and for all. Congress should guarantee permanent funding and independence from partisan meddling." Just click here to add your name: http://civ.moveon.org/publicbroadcasting/o.pl?id=9861-5184946-YrZv2Lqgq8CEF565ng4skQ&t=1

Every additional signer will mean more pressure on Congress to block this cut and make sure this kind of partisan meddling never happens again. President Bush cannot be allowed to slash strong journalism and shows like "Sesame Street." We've won this fight before. Together, we can make sure we never have to confront this issue again.

The comments I added:
"We The People are the true owners of the broadcast airwaves -- that is a fact. Therefore, no entities others than the general public has any right to take any of our air rights...End of all discussion -- at least for Honest, Patriotic, Ethical citizens -- at any "level" of society!!!
Thank you, especially if you DO listen to those of us you represent and adjust your actions accordingly!"
