Kansas: Two teens from Olathe group home missing

JANICE HOGAN DOB: Sep 16, 1994

DEZARE WILSON DOB: Nov 30, 1992Two teen girls have been missing for more than a week since running away from an Olathe youth home, Olathe police said.


The girls, identified by police as Janice Hogan and Dezare Wilson, left Temporary Lodging for Children with two boys from the facility on March 22. The boys returned a day later and told police that they dropped the girls off at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, police said.


Police were not able to confirm any sighting of the girls on that campus or whom they may have gone to see there.


Police said they are concerned about the girls because of their age and the length of time they have been missing. They added that the girls left the home without medication that they had been taking.

Robbie McFarlanePolice are seeking the public’s help in tracing a missing 19-year-old man from the Dunblane area.


Robbie McFarlane was last seen leaving the Village Bar, Stirling Road, Dunblane around 11pm on Saturday March 29 . He is described as 6’2” tall with fair/blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a white hooded top, blue jeans and Timberland boots.


A joint search operation with the police and Robbie’s family, friends and work colleagues is underway in the Dunblane area. Members of the Search and Rescue Dog Association are also involved and a helicopter is being used in the search.


Dunblane Inspector Brian Sharkey said: “This is completely out of character for Robbie to go missing. We, and his family, are extremely concerned for his wellbeing. “I appeal for anyone who may have seen or spoken to Robbie to contact us.

Elaine TaggartElaine Taggart, 48, has been missing since January 3 — making no contact with her family, despite a public appeal from her 90-year-old Chelsea pensioner father, Douglas Hassell, and missing her son Daniel's 14th birthday on March 4.


At 10.30am this morning (Monday, March 31), 30 officers and volunteers from the West Downs Neighbourhood Division, along with trained dogs provided by Surrey Police, searched Highdown Hill on day one of five searches. The other areas to be searched are in Goring and Ferring.


Police fear she may have either been involved in an accident, or become the victim of a serious crime.

She is 19-years old with grey eyes and brown hair. She has acquaintances in the Old Town area. Her mother has not seen or heard from her since the day after Christmas 2007.

Missing From Vermont $20,000 Reward

Where is Nicholas Garza? A new search is on for the student, missing since February 5th. There has been all kinds of speculation on what happened to the young man. Was he abducted, was he the victim of an accident, or is there foul play involved? He is a Middlebury College freshman, and police again are actively searching for him.

A fund has been set up to assist the Garza family in their search for Nick. A note on a website set up to help keep his name and photos in the public eye gives this detailed time line of the last known sighting and what he was doing right before he vanished into thin air, leaving family members frantic and police puzzled.

The report notes, On the night of February 5th Nick Garza left his dorm at Middlebury College with another student at 10:43pm. He entered another dorm at 10:48pm. He was last seen leaving this building at 11:05pm to walk back to his room some 500 yards away. He has not been seen since.

Police are saying that Police do not suspect foul play and they are still hoping for his safe return. A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Garza’s recovery.

Mansfield, Ohio Most Wanted: Local sex offender on the run

Ross Waldbauer is making more trouble for himself. Recently released from prison for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, Waldbauer has a warrant for escape. Because he has absconded supervision, Waldbauer could face another escape charge, as well as failure to verify change of address. Both are felonies.


Authorities believe he is in Shelby or Ashland. Waldbauer, 24, is 6 feet tall and weighs 228 pounds. He has brown hair, hazel eyes and numerous tattoos.

Austin, Texas Sex offender on the run considered threat to children
The search was on Thursday for a registered sex offender, who police believe is responsible for two recent attempted abductions.






According to a police alert, investigators believe Juan Manuel Perez, Jr. is a threat to area children. That accusation is based on two incidents -- one near the Del Valle Elementary and Middle schools, the other in the Wolf Lane community of Stoney Point.


“The fact that we have two incidents so close together would have anyone to believe he has reached an area in his life that he wants to re-offend, and he has become more dangerous for those reasons,” said Bastrop Co. Sheriff Rosanna Abreo.


Perez, who goes by the nickname of "Junior," is a registered sex offender and is currently out on probation. His criminal record includes an exposure case in 2004 and a case of Indecency with a child in 2006. Now, based on what three 14-year-old girls say, investigators believe he is at it again.


The most recent incident reportedly happened near Del Valle Middle school. Two girls who were walking to school Tuesday morning say a man tried to grab them. It was similar to another incident, a few miles away, that happened in the Stoney Point community. A teenager says while jogging February 28, a man, fitting Perez’s description, exposed himself to her and also tried to force her into his car.


"She was able to pull away, she yelled at him, yelled for assistance and for him to leave her alone," said Sheriff Abreo.


All three girls escaped unharmed. The current investigation, Sheriff Abreo says, is an opportunity to restate stranger danger rules.


"Somebody wants you to do something you don’t want to do, you address it immediately, and you tell your parents immediately. You scream, kick, and spit. Anything you can do to get away,” said Abreo.


Perez is linked to the two cases because of his car. One of the teenagers wrote down the tag number of the car they say was involved in the Del Valle incident. The plates were traced to Perez, but when investigators when to pick him up, they say he ran away. It is believed Perez is still in the area, and may be hiding out with friends.

Cops in Ontario, Calif. are determined to bring Candido Renteria Peraza to justice for the fatal hit and run of 7-year-old Nathan Sitompul. Cops say a drunken Peraza struck Nathan, who was riding his bike at the time. Peraza stopped, but when he saw Nathan struggling to get to his feet, Peraza took off, running over Nathan again.

Peraza previously served two years in prison for drug trafficking and was deported to Mexico in 1999. Ortiz said Peraza was in the country illegally at the time of Nathan's death.

Peraza is described as a 180-pound Latino male, who is 5 feet 8 inches tall with black hair and brown eyes and a scar on his right hand. Missing: Feb 5, 2008Woodbridge High freshman Chandler Fergus, 14, has been missing since Feb. 5 and police are investigating the case as a runaway.

"She's never run away," said her mom, Jennifer Golden. "Right now, she has a 3.0 GPA at Woodbridge, and she's on the softball team. She's not what you would consider your typical trouble child."

Golden said that her daughter had been hanging out with a boy who has a history of running away and suspects that she may be with him. She also learned that Fergus on Feb. 5 called another boy, whom Golden did not identify, to announce that she would be running away from home.

Fergus is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds, and has hazel eyes and pierced ears. She may also have a purple streak in the back of her hair.

"We love her very much and don't want anything to happen to her," Golden said. "We just want her home safely."

Joseph Christian Fontana Age 52Joseph Fontana seemed like a wonderful guy to a woman he met at church. But cops say the man who went by his middle name, "Christian" was full of evil. Now, the hunt is on for a registered sex offender who has dozens of new charges filed against him.

When Joseph Christian Fontana suddenly showed up in Santa Rosa County, Florida cops say he was trying to hide his real identity by dropping his first name. "Christian" showed up at a local church and became good friends with a single mother. Investigators say she was impressed by the man who took part in church functions and even sang in the church choir. The two began dating and he became a father figure to the woman's three children.

Uncovering Fontana's True Identity
Cops say the woman had no idea that Fontana was a registered sex offender from the Fort Walton Beach area. Although he was supposed to alert authorities when he moved, investigators say Fontana failed to do so and disappeared in 2001.

That's when he apparently showed up in Santa Rosa County and cops say he started his spate of sex crimes again. While Fontana's new friend thought he was a great role model for her children, investigators believe he had been sexually abusing her two young boys for years. Now, Fontana is charged with 25 counts of sexual assault and 25 counts of lewd and lascivious behavior -- and he's disappeared again.

Federal Authorities: Dangerous Sex Offender On The Run

Cops say Morin is a member of the Mexican Mafia. U.S. Marshals in Laredo, Texas have joined the hunt for a very dangerous man. They say 26-say year-old Abel Morin was sentenced to five concurrent life terms in prison on Monday, but took off through an unlocked jail door.

Abel Morin had just gotten his handcuffs, belly chain and shackles removed at the Jim Hogg County Jail and was was about to begin serving five concurrent life terms for sex crimes.

But cops say Morin noticed that a door was open, and took off running. A full-scale manhunt is underway for this man, who was convicted in November for raping a mother and her daughter, and taking off with the young woman, raping her again and leaving her in the brush.

Cops say Morin is a member of the violent Mexican Mafia and has tattoos all over his body. They don't know where Morin is hiding, but say he is a native of Duval County, Texas and has also lived in California.
