Agnico Eagle from Canada is going to dig gold in Finland Lappland. They use such poisons as syanide and arsenic. These poisons are destroying  first the fish in the rivers and also people who eat fish may die because of the strong poisons  also all animals who drink from the river and also the sensitive Lappland nature which is not strong enough to be repeated. All the animals from the area have to go far away from this place. How many reindeers this  may cause a death. Who can say that the poisons are not going to the basis water; nobody. Tell Agnico Eagle to go away from Lappland Finland. Please join us and oppose this by signing this petition:

This is a horrifying "development" and needs to be protested worldwide. Let us all say NO to use of this greedy and short-sighted business that threatens the very basic human rights as well as the natural cycle of harvesting. Please, join the campaign: http://www.banterminator.org

Hi,

when you have a minute, please consider signing this petition and tell Congress to Protect our Seniors from Billions In Harmful Medicare Cuts:

http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/383717952

The Bush Administration released its fiscal year 2007 budget which slashed Medicare by $36 billion over the next five years and $105 billion over the next ten years.
These are cuts to hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, ambulance services, and other providers and increases in Medicare premiums for certain beneficiaries. At the same time that the budget slashes Medicare funding, it protects the special interests, leaving intact the $10 billion Medicare slush fund for HMOs. We can't let our parents and grandparents pay the price for Republican corruption.

Thank You.

"WE BELIEVE that in the best American tradition of helping others help themselves, now is the time to join with other countries in a historic pact for compassion and justice to help the poorest people of the world overcome AIDS and extreme poverty. WE RECOGNIZE that a pact including such measures as fair trade, debt relief, fighting corruption and directing additional resources for basic needs - education, health, clean water, food, and care for orphans - would transform the futures and hopes of an entire generation in the poorest countries, at a cost equal to just one percent more of the US budget. WE COMMIT ourselves - one person, one voice, one vote at a time - to make a better, safer world for all."

The Macal River Valley in western Belize is one of the most pristine and fragile habitats in Central America. It is home to more than a dozen rare and endangered species, including the jaguar, tapir, howler monkey, and the Scarlet Macaw -- fewer than 200 of these birds are left in Belize. Plans by Fortis Inc., a Canadian company based in Newfoundland, Canada to build a dam in this unique habitat could destroy this wildlife haven forever.
The dam would flood one of Central America's last remaining intact rainforests, destroying habitat for a number of rare and endangered species that have lost much of their habitat elsewhere in Central America. Species that would be affected include the jaguar, Scarlet Macaw, and Belize's national animal, the tapir. In addition, untouched ancient Maya monuments would be flooded. The dam would consolidate Fortis' monopoly in Belize, where Fortis charges more than three times more for electricity than the average price in Canada. The dam is a bad deal for Belize and a black mark for Canada.
