Hold on to what is good,
Even if it's a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe,
Even if it's a tree that stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do,
Even if it's a long way from here.
Hold on to your life,
Even if it's easier to let go.
Hold on to my hand,
Even if someday I'll be gone away from you.
(A Pueblo Indian Prayer)

May the Warm Winds of Heaven
Blow softly upon your house.
May the Great Spirit
Bless all who enter there.
May your Moccasins
Make happy tracks
in many snows,
and may the Rainbow
Always touch your shoulder.
(Cherokee Blessing)

May the stars carry your sadness away,
May the flowers fill your heart with beauty,
May hope forever wipe away your tears,
And, above all, may silence make you strong.
(Chief Dan George)

I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk
I fall in.
I am lost... I am hopeless.
It isn't my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend I don't see it.
I fall in again.
I can't believe I'm in the same place.
But it isn't my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it is there.
I still fall in... it's a habit
My eyes are open
I know where I am
It is my fault.
I get out immediately.

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk around it.

I walk down another street.

Author unknown,
I have seen this poem also called (Autobiography In Five Chapters) that was taken from the Tibetan Book of Living and Dying

I think this poem is an accurate description of many aspects of many of our lives, While striving to be more Christ like or at times, just attempting to survive. weather it is from the simple, to the most complex of issues.
We hopefully, eventually grow to a point where we can recognize the paths that cause us to fall and learn not to go down that road.

Go Forward With Courage

When you are in doubt, be still, and wait;
when doubt no longer exists for you, then go forward with courage.
So long as mists envelop you, be still;
be still until the sunlight pours through and dispels the mists
-- as it surely will.
Then act with courage.
(Chief White Eagle)

Psalm 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Joshua 1:9
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Bloom Where You're Planted

Daily Inspiration   By John H. Sklare, Ed.D, LifeScript Personal Coach

Published January 05, 2009

I was listening to the radio the other night when I heard a phrase that stopped me in my tracks. It’s something I heard before, but for some reason, it resonated with me in a much deeper way that night. I find this phrase, which also happens to be the title of a song, incredibly motivational. As I let this saying roll about in my mind a while, I wondered whether or not you would be moved and inspired by these four short but powerful words as well. So, without further ado, let me share that phrase with you: Bloom where you’re planted! I find this phrase the perfect mantra for those who seek accomplishment in 2009. As is true for everyone, life doesn’t always turn out as planned. I’m sure many of you find yourselves in undesirable jobs or situations, but as I always say, life is what we make it. So to those of you who find yourselves not exactly where you planned or want to be at the moment, I suggest you adopt this simple and powerful advice as your mantra for the coming year. Whatever situation you presently find yourself in, I say bloom where you’re planted! In other words, make the best out of the situation and be the best that you can be until you can manage to move on to greener pastures.

When all the trees have been cut down,
when all the animals have been hunted,
when all the waters are polluted,
when all the air is unsafe to breathe,
only then will you discover you cannot eat money.
