This past year the Supreme Court has made huge unprecedented changes in Campaign Finance Laws when it comes to corporations. Overturning a hundred year rule allowing for corporations to invest in unlimited amounts in campaign contributions in the case of Citizens United v.s. the Federal Elected Commission. This would be fine if there wasn't already laws that are put in place that directly contradict that ruling. In the public writ of Federal Campaign Finance Law it states that a person cannot contribute more than $2100 per campaign. This wouldn't matter because corporations are not considered under federal law as being recognized in their entirety as an individual "person". But wait! They are! Under the Constitutional Extension of the Fourteenth Amendment made in the case of Santa Clara County vs Southern Pacific Railroad the Supreme Court ruled that Corporations are to have every right as a citizen as defined by the Constitution. And if Federal Campaign Finance Law states that every Citizen defined by the Constitution can only make a campaign contribution of $2100 per campaign then the Citizens United ruling would be in direct contradiction to the Constitution of the United States America otherwise known as UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
