Choose your love story

In the past most of the people around the world had chosen a “beautiful” picture of sexuality, where they had to refrain themselves from having sex until they were married and then to only enjoy sex with the person to whom they were married.

Marriage was designed by humankind to enjoy sex in a very special way. But the question is if this does still work?

By following Inventors of value’s instructions (I mean the men), the marriage would help husbands and wives grow closer together in an intimate bond, allowing them to have the most fulfilling sex possible and helping them avoid potential dissolution of their marriages in divorce.

Is it a beautiful love story for two people to grow up as virgins-not having engaged in any kind of sexual gratification-and then on their wedding night present their bodies to each other saying, “I love you so much I saved myself for you and you alone by conviction. I respect you before I ever met you, I respected my dreams, my goals because I knew always what I wanted for my life and because I have a clear purpose in life and now I’m ready to give myself completely and exclusively to you”?

Is this true love?! Is this the most beautiful love story of all? Is this the kind of start that can help a couple live happily ever after in a joyous marriage instead of ending in a heartbreaking divorce as so many do today?

Or do we prefer what do the modern songs and movies tell us?

I have loved  so many different people before I met you that I know we can have sex without any problem at all. After all, we’ve been doing it already. So tonight isn’t really that special. And did I remember to tell you? I have a few STD’s I’l be sharing with you. They are painful and impossible to cure. They’ll be with us for life. But Baby, I really love you. At least right now I think I do and I’m willing to stay with you until I get bored of you or until someone better comes along, by the way, I have had some abortions because I wasn’t prepared to have children and above all because I wanted to go on having sex to be prepared for this great night and give you a great pleasure”

Which love story would you rather experience?

Getting off the Sexual Merry-Go-Round

By Beyond Today host Gary Petty

Adapted by Oswaldo Zavala Ferreira

Millions of people have found themselves caught up in the lies promised by the sexual revolution, finding that it brought only heartache and pain. If you’re one of its victims, what can you do to start over?

Before the 1960s and its sexual revolution that tossed out traditional morality, it was generall believed that the ideal sexual relationship was a special romantic bond between a husband and a wife. Today, according to television commercials touting male enhancement drugs, it seems that everyone is concerned with sexual performance as if it were a competitive sport.

The sexual revolution was supposed to free us from shame and outdated ideas about human sexuality, and everyone was going to enjoy a kind of sexual Disneyland where we’d go from one thrill to another.

But it’s time to face the facts: Decades later, the sexual revolution thrill ride has derailed.

The sexual revolution’s sad fruits

The sexual revolution didn’t free women to experience more meaningful relationship; it freed men and women to separate sex from commitment. They could now go from partner to partner without personal responsibility or emotional attachment.

Any single mom knows how difficult it is to raise a child without a partner. But there’s also the risk of sexually transmitted diseases. An estimated 45 million people in the United States are infected with genital herpes- a number that’s growing by a million new cases a year.

It’s estimated that this year 25 percent one in four-of sexually active teens will contract a sexually transmitted disease.

These numbers are too large for most of us to wrap our minds around-unless you’re one of those suffering from STD.

How much heartache have you endured because of broken relationships? Have you given up on that deep longing for a committed, lifetime, romantic relationship because meaningless sexual encounters have left you feeling hopeless or bitter?

If you want to get off the sexual merry-go-round, you must take control of your life and set new standards for yourself.

Marriage is one of the best institutions invented by men. Human sexuality is more than simple recreation or a means for having babies.

If you want to get marriage is because you love your partner accepting her with all her defects, that means also her past. And you never have to have a thought of reward, always there will be one who loves more than the other, but that doesn’t mean that the person who loves less doesn’t love.

Since the moment you decide to have a girlfriend and also when you get married you stop thinking just about yourself and start thinking about your wife and children.

If you catch your wife or your husband lay with another person, you have the power to stand in her shoes and understand why she is doing that. You have the power of forgiveness.

By discovering your goal in life and giving up self-destructive lifestyles, you will discover that human sexuality is more than simple recreation or a means for having babies.

Sex and love are important things in life but there are more important things in life.

Having a clear purpose in life and knowing that life is so short, you will discover that human sexuality was designed to be a wonderful relationship enjoyed in marriage. If you want to change your life and discover how to have a committed, lifelong, loving marriage, you must first get off the sexual merry-go-round by realizing what your purpose in life is.

Where to start in starting over

So now what? Are you to join a monastery and dedicate you life to a dreary state of abstinence? Think about this: Many of us spend 12 years going to school, and often an additional four to eight years learning a career. What if you dedicated just a fraction of your time preparing for marriage? Most people get married with more knowledge of how to take care of a pet than of how to have a successful marriage!

Successful lifelong marriages don’t happen by accident. And a successful marriage not only affects your and your spouse’s happiness, but the happiness of your children. The primary cause of poverty in the western world is single women trying to raise children without the benefit of dad.

You can stay on the sexual merry-go-round if you wish. And maybe you’ll avoid getting AIDS or gonorrhea. Maybe you won’t get pregnant. But the unseen emotional scars are just as devastating. Too much heartache, too many casual encounters, too many morning-after anxieties, and a persona can feel almost emotionally incapable of experiencing a meaningful relationship.

The only safe sex is between a husband and wife committed to each other in a lifelong relationship. In today’s society that may sound trite, but remember that you can’t solve your problems with the same old solutions or you’ll simply arrive at the same old problems.

You can make changes

If you want to experience a lifelong, loving relationship, then you’re going to have to do some things differently in your life. Get off the sexual merry-go-round. Discover your purpose on earth.

If you’re struggling with the guilt of abortion, heartache from living a wrong sexual lifestyle or the shame of having as STD, your life can change.

Renewed virginity isn’t just a quaint, unrealistic catchphrase. You must accept that your lifestyle has been self-destructive and against your real purpose.

 HAPPY DAY OF DEATH

Halloween in Mexico (called Los Dias de los Muertos in Spanish) is a different celebration from Halloween in all the other countries.

Even though, it's the day of death in Mexico, death brings laughter, and in that celebration, the Mexican people play with death, making people laugh. The celebration includes jokes, parties, dancing, music, and a lot of delightful food.

Everyone buys smiling candy skulls with the names of the people, family and friends written on the forehead. These skulls are made of sugar, and the children eat them like candies.

Los Dias de los Muertos is a traditional Mexican holiday honoring the dead. It is celebrated every year at the same time as Halloween and the Christian holy days of All Saints Day and All Souls Day (November 1st and 2nd).

The towns people dress up as ghouls, ghosts, mummies and skeletons and parade through the town carrying an open coffin.

The Mexican people celebrate the deceased people by making offers of food and drink (ofertas) to these dead people and making a party of death. They make candy skulls and toys that look like skeletons, and they tell funny stories about death.

There is a saying that says: "Through the Mexicans, death makes laughter." All the Mexicans participate in these celebrations. They are traditions in our country, and almost everyone enjoys them

The Venus Project is an organization that proposes a feasible plan of action for social change, one that works towards a peaceful and sustainable global civilization. It outlines an alternative to strive toward where human rights are no longer paper proclamations but a way of life.

We operate out of a 21.5-acre Research Center located in Venus, Florida.

When one considers the enormity of the challenges facing society today, we can safely conclude that the time is long overdue for us to reexamine our values, and to reflect upon and evaluate some of the underlying issues and assumptions we have as a society. This self-analysis calls into question the very nature of what it means to be human, what it means to be a member of a "civilization," and what choices we can make today to ensure a prosperous future for all the world's people.

At present we are left with very few alternatives. The answers of yesterday are no longer relevant. Either we continue as we have been with our outmoded social customs and habits of thought, in which case our future will be threatened, or we can apply a more appropriate set of values that are relevant to an emergent society.

Experience tells us that human behavior can be modified, either toward constructive or destructive activity. This is what The Venus Project is all about - directing our technology and resources toward the positive, for the maximum benefit of people and planet and seeking out new ways of thinking and living that emphasize and celebrate the vast potential of the human spirit. We have the tools at hand to design - and build - a future that is worthy of the human potential. The Venus Project presents a bold, new direction for humanity that entails nothing less than the total redesign of our culture. What follows is not an attempt to predict what will be done - only what could be done. The responsibility for our future is in our hands, and depends on the decisions that we make today. The greatest resource that is available today is our own ingenuity.

While social reformers and think tanks formulate strategies that treat only superficial symptoms, without touching the basic social operation, The Venus Project approaches these problems somewhat differently. We feel we cannot eliminate these problems within the framework of the present political and monetary establishment. It would take too many years to accomplish any significant change. Most likely they would be watered down and thinned out to such an extent that the changes would be indistinguishable

The Venus Project advocates an alternative vision for a sustainable new world civilization unlike any social system that has gone before. Although this description is highly condensed, it is based upon years of study and experimental research by many, many people from many scientific disciplines.

The Venus Project proposes a fresh approach--one that is dedicated to human and environmental concerns. It is an attainable vision of a bright and better future, one that is appropriate to the times in which we live, and both practical and feasible for a positive future for all the world's people.

The Venus Project calls for a straightforward approach to the redesign of a culture, in which the age-old inadequacies of war, poverty, hunger, debt, environmental degradation and unnecessary human suffering are viewed not only as avoidable, but totally unacceptable.

One of the basic premises of The Venus Project is that we work towards having all of the Earth's resources as the common heritage of all the world's people. Anything less will simply result in a continuation of the same catalog of problems inherent in the present system.

Throughout history, change has been slow. Successive groups of incompetent leaders have replaced those that preceded them, but the underlying social and economic problems remain because the basic value systems have gone unaltered. The problems we are faced with today cannot be solved politically or financially because they are highly technical in nature. There may not even be enough money available to pay for the required changes, but there are more than enough resources. This is why The Venus Project advocates the transition from a monetary-based society to the eventual realization of a resource-based global economy.

We realize to make the transition from our present culture, which is politically incompetent, scarcity-oriented and obsolete, to this new, more humane society will require a quantum leap in both thought and action.

An Obsolete Monetary System

The money-based system evolved centuries ago. All of the world's economic systems - socialism, communism, fascism, and even the vaunted free enterprise system - perpetuate social stratification, elitism, nationalism, and racism, primarily based on economic disparity. As long as a social system uses money or barter, people and nations will seek to maintain the economic competitive edge or, if they cannot do so by means of commerce they will by military intervention. We still utilize these same outmoded methods.

Our current monetary system is not capable of providing a high standard of living for everyone, nor can it ensure the protection of the environment because the major motive is profit. Strategies such as downsizing and toxic dumping increase the profit margin. With the advent of automation, cybernation, artificial intelligence and out sourcing, there will be an ever-increasing replacement of people by machines. As a result, fewer people will be able to purchase goods and services even though our capability to produce an abundance will continue to exist.

Our present, outmoded political and economic systems are unable to apply the real benefits of today's innovative technology to achieve the greatest good for all people, and to overcome the inequities imposed upon so many. Our technology is racing forward yet our social designs have remained relatively static. In other words cultural change has not kept pace with technological change. We now have the means to produce goods and services in abundance for everyone.

Unfortunately, today science and technology have been diverted from achieving the greatest good for reasons of self-interest and monetary gain through planned obsolescence sometimes referred to as the conscious withdrawal of efficiency. For example, the U. S. Department of Agriculture, whose function is presumed to be conducting research into ways of achieving higher crop yields per acre, actually pays farmers not to produce at full-capacity. The monetary system tends to hold back the application of these methods that we know would best serve the interests of people and the environment.

In a monetary system purchasing power is not related to our capacity to produce goods and services. For example, during a depression, there are computers and DVD's on store shelves and automobiles in car lots, but most people do not have the purchasing power to buy them. The earth is still the same place; it is just the rules of the game that are obsolete and create strife, deprivation and unnecessary human suffering.

A monetary system developed years ago as a device to control human behavior in an environment with limited resources. Today money is used to regulate the economy not for the benefit of the general populace, but for those who control the financial wealth of nations.

Resource Based Economy

All social systems, regardless of political philosophy, religious beliefs, or social customs, ultimately depend upon natural resources, i.e. clean air and water, arable land and the necessary technology and personnel to maintain a high standard of living.

Simply stated, a resource-based economy utilizes existing resources rather than money and provides an equitable method of distributing these resources in the most efficient manner for the entire population. It is a system in which all goods and services are available without the use of money, credits, barter, or any other form of debt or servitude

.

Earth is abundant with plentiful resources; today our practice of rationing resources through monetary methods is irrelevant and counter productive to our survival. Modern society has access to highly advanced technologies and can make available food, clothing, housing, medical care, a relevant educational system, and develop a limitless supply of renewable, non-contaminating energy such as geothermal, solar, wind, tidal, etc. It is now possible to have everyone enjoy a very high standard of living with all of the amenities that a prosperous civilization can provide. This can be accomplished through the intelligent and humane application of science and technology.

To better understand the meaning of a resource-based economy consider this: if all the money in the world were destroyed, as long as topsoil, factories, and other resources were left intact, we could build anything we choose to build and fulfill any human need. It is not money that people need; rather, it is free access to the necessities of life. In a resource-based economy , money would be irrelevant. All that would be required are the resources and the manufacturing and distribution of the products.

When education and resources are made available to all people without a price tag, there would be no limit to the human potential. Although this is difficult to imagine, even the wealthiest person today would be far better off in a resource based society as proposed by The Venus Project. Today the middle classes live better than kings of times past. In a resource based economy everyone would live better than the wealthiest of today.

In such a society, the measure of success would be based on the fulfillment of one's individual pursuits rather than the acquisition of wealth, property and power.

The Choice Is Ours To Make

Human behavior is subject to the same laws as any other natural phenomenon. Our customs, behaviors, and values are byproducts of our culture. No one is born with greed, prejudice, bigotry, patriotism and hatred; these are all learned behavior patterns. If the environment is unaltered, similar behavior will reoccur.

Today, much of the technology needed to bring about a global Resource-Based Economy exists. If we choose to conform to the limitations of our present monetary-based economy, then it is likely that we will continue to live with its inevitable results: war, poverty, hunger, deprivation, crime, ignorance, stress, fear, and inequity. On the other hand, if we embrace the concept of a global resource-based economy , learn more about it, and share our understanding with our friends, this will help humanity evolve out of its present state.

Less Talk, More Action on Climate Change, Young People urge World Leaders

Daejeon (Republic of Korea), 20 August 2009 - Young people from around the globe today called on world leaders to take radical measures against climate change.

At the largest-ever truly global youth gathering on climate change, some 700 young people, ranging from 10 to 24 years of age, honed in on their governments' track record in addressing climate change, emphasizing the need for strong vision and leadership.

In a statement, the young delegates - representing three billion of the world's population - expressed their "concern and frustration that their governments are not doing enough to combat climate change", adding that "we now need more actions and less talking".

Instructions

1.    Step 1

Lead by example. Your child will learn his values in life by observing you. Your child may not be able to describe what value he is learning, but he is learning from you everyday.

2.    Step 2

Have integrity. Mean what you say and say what you mean. Stand by your word. Keep your promises. Take responsibility for yourself and your actions. Always explain your thoughts and actions about integrity to your child. Explain that taking responsibility for your actions means you have integrity and you are being "true" to yourself when taking responsibility.

3.    Step 3

Be honest. Teach your child the value of honesty. Tell them about trusting other people and other people trusting you. Explain to your child that liars are not to be trusted, nor are they to be believed. Teach your child to be honest at all times, even if they get in trouble for it. Give them some examples from when you were a child to help them understand honesty.

4.    Step 4

Discourage being a "fair weather friend" by teaching loyalty. Teach your child to defend his friends when it is the right thing to do. Teach your child the difference between "blind loyalty" and "loyalty", that blind loyalty is never right.

5.    Step 5

Encourage respect. Encourage your child to respect others and their differences. Teach your child to show respect to others by having good manners. Teach your child who a hero should be and tell them why.

6.    Step 6

Teach fairness to your child. Teaching fairness instills in your child the value of right and wrong. Give your child examples of being fair and not being fair, such as allowing someone to get in line in front of others. Or teach your child about grading every kid in the class the same way to be fair. When your child understands fairness, he will always practice being fair.

7.    Step 7

Encourage empathy to others. Help your child understand the feelings of others and be concerned for them. Teach your child to stand up for others less fortunate than he is, when it is appropriate. Empathy strengthens character.

8.    Step 8

Practice self-control. Teach your child that self-control is important for his own growth and maturity. Placing other peoples needs ahead of your own is not only self-control, it is altruistic. It is unselfish and the mark of maturity.

WHAT IS EXPO FORESTAL?

In its 7th consecutive edition, Expo Forestal México Siglo XXI, represents the most important forestry event in Mexico, where the national and foreign forestry community will convene in order to stimulate the exchange of experiences and knowledge.

Expo Forestal México Siglo XXI is the most relevant exhibition of its kind, reuniting, in one place, products, goods and services derived from the existing forest resources, as well as technologies, equipment and raw materials for the forestry activity.

Due to its commercial success, Expo Forestal México Siglo XXI is a highly effective business tool which enables participants to become familiar with forestry issues and to diversify the lines of sustainable utility of the forests. Opportunities also exist to strengthen the public companies which are responsible for the management, extraction and transformation of resources, and to establish strategic alliances with not only the private industry but also with the sector’s promoting institutions.
