Bruce's Sharebook 

It's our lot to help those who need it. My father told me never do something for someone expecting something back. You help them because they need it, simple as that.

My current project is helping to build Valor Home. A transitional shelter for homeless veterans. The project will not just put a roof over their heads, but put them in touch with counseling, medical care, legal assistance, and work related training. This is all for our veterans. The ones who dedicated their time, bodies, minds, and sometimes lives, to guarantee our freedom. We owe them more than we can pay.

In addition, those of us who served and came back, are doing this in respect of our brothers and sisters who picked up the torch of freedom as we became older. It's good to know the kids will do it.

It's also a good opportunity to give the younger kids a chance to learn about giving of their time and their talents.

These are the family values that we've been losing sight of.
