A New Season- DCIS

I recently was diagnosed with DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma In Situ) of the right breast. This has all happened very quickly.
3/31- mammogram ordered
4/9 - mammogram
4/17 - additional views mammogram/ based on results, biopsy ordered
4/23 - right breast biopsy
4/24 - Pathology report - DCIS BREAST CANCER
4/30 - Surgical Consult
5/2 - 2nd surgical consult/ sonogram/ surgery scheduled
5/5 - Segmented mastectomy

I've blogged the experience on my other site using my "blog monkey" who presents the events in a detached manner.

Everything in my life has brought me to this point, prepared me for this fight against the breast cancer, which I will beat.

Just thought I'd share so if anyone else out there has been diagnosed with the same, you're not alone and DCIS is beatable!
