For the last nine years we have battled the system to get care and necessities for my disabled son. I have been to every organization that advertises it supports our situation. We have filled out requests, information, paper after paper, only to be told there is no funding available, or there is a waiting list. The biggest answer is you dont qualify. They do not realize what this does to a family with a special need child or a disabled individual in their household. I have seen neglecting doctors, nurses that are mean and very negative and treat them like bugs. I have been working with other non profits in the area and they are having difficulty getting resources and funding from federal and local governments. The opinion of the disabled is one that they feel these individuals are a burden on society and the system just could care less. Funding is dwindling and almost non existent. This leaves families to fend for themselves. To work several jobs and be caregiver 24/7 with little assistance. We as Americans willall be old some day, we will allneed help, and the children that are disabled need help now. It should be their right to get everything they need to improve their living situation. And we as Americans shouls get off the sofa and start getting involved, instead of watching CNN and hoping someone else will do it. That is why this country is in the mess it is now, Because we never want to make waves..we just want to watch the grass grow and hope someone comes along to cut it!

My son christopher has been disabled since age 12. We found there is very little assistance to families with disabled children finding the care and resources to help them get through this troubling time. The task of finding capable reliable care is daunting. There is no one place to go for information and resources and this can be devastating on a family. I had a Vision to start a non profit organization that can assist families in finding resources, funding, and medical equipment to help them care for their disabled child. I want to take all the knowledge and aquired resources and help these families.

Local and federal governments are of little help, and the amount of red tape can have a staggering effect on families. The average wait time in some circumstances can be anywhere from 60-180 days. Families with a disabled child do not have the luxury of time on their side. We want to be able to jump right in and give these families as much support as humanly possible.

Medical equipment to help these families is almost always costly and out of their reach, We want to build a network of new and used medical equipment, therapy equipment and basic necessities to be able to give these families the much needed support they need at no charge. There is a mountain of little used equipment out there that can be recycled back to those who need it the most.

Please dig deep into your hearts and help us to make Christopher's Vision a life line for these families. we need your support. every minute wasted is another disabled child who is suffering and in need of support

We are the Chida Family, we have a family of 5 wonderful children. When our son Christopher was 12 he suffered a traumatic brain injury leaving him without use of his motor functions. He is on a feeding tube, he cant eat and has limited speech. But he is 98% cognotive, meaning he understands and is aware of everything. He is very smart, and has what they call a locked in condition, his mind is all there he just has no controlled movement. He is a happy wonderful young man. Recently we received word medicaid and medicaire were cutting funding and we lost all his nursing care, they also cut his basic necessities. We are now 24/7 caregivers. We both as parents have full time jobs outside the home and caregiver in shifts. Due to this crazy economy we are losing our home and recently were told the bank wants to reposess our handicap vehicle which we use to take chris to therapy and doctor appointments, as well as on trips to get him out in the world. The pressure has been overwhelming. We are constantly fighting red tape for even the basic needs for him. As well as created a new program to help the disabled.

My wife is a full time cashier at publix and I am an electrician. We work in shifts around the clock to take care of Chris. I work from 7-5 and take over until midnight and mom works nights and takes care of him during the day, we alternate the overnights because he cannot be left unattended.

We are trying to build a awareness of the serious problems facing the disabled and elderly in this country, 10% of all proceeds will go to a teen or elderly cause. we need your help fighting a system that has its eyes trained and targeted on taking as much away from our disadvantaged as possible...Please give your support. We will continue to be fundraisers for the disadvantaged and we are doing our best to bring out awareness. We plan on starting a web site geared to helping the disabled and elderly, but we can only do this with your support. Stay tuned..we are here to stay.....

We really need your help, we have exhausted all our resources and we need transportation...We sincerely appreciate anything you can do. christophers potential is unlimited and we really need your help.

10% of all donations collected will go to help troubled teens, drug rehab, and suicide prevention...
