START A PETITION

Focus: Politics
Action Request: Petition
Location: United States

I am posting this, because I feel it is a matter of utter importance, and I hope you will agree. The Citizens United decision, which is still being upheld by the Supreme Court, poses multiple threats against our democracy. Therefore, as concerned citizens we must be aggressively vocal wherever we can, online or otherwise, to have it repealed.

The corporations are doing everything they can to keep it in place. Look no further than the action of a company you all likely know - Twitter. They will censor anything that is not in the interests of corporate culture. In fact, they have now suspended the account of an activist friend of mine who created a petition to repeal Citizen's United:

http://signon.org/sign/repeal-citizens-united-9?source=s.tw&r_by=5326606

We must not let this happen to our democracy. To think that corporations are now not only buying elections, but actively involved in censorship of our fellow citizens is patently absurd.

Please take action to sign this petition (and spread the word) and prove once and for all that we will not be silenced. That there is no power great enough to stifle the truth, not even corporate power.

Thank you for your time, and power to the people!
