i need info on pitbull bans and law's

I HAVE BEEN AWAY FOR AWHILE.
I HOPE ALL IS GOING WELL WITH YOU AND YOURS.

I AM CALLING ON MY FRIENDS FOR A LITTLE HELP,
    MOST OF MY FRIENDS ARE TRUCK DRIVER'S, AND SOME OF THEM ARE HAVING TO LEAVE THEIR PITBULLS, STAFFIES, AND LOOK ALIKE'S AT HOME ARE HAVE BEEN NEEDING TO FIND THEM A NEW HOME.  I THOUGHT THE TOWNS AND STATES THAT HAVE A BAN, WAS FOR PEOPLE THAT LIVED THERE. NOT PEOPLE THAT ARE PASSING THROUGH.    CAN ANYBODY SEND SOME FEED BACK TO ME, I WANT TO HELP THE DRIVERS OUT.  TRUCK DRIVER'S ARE UNDER FEDERAL LAWS.    ONE DRIVER HAD HIS PIT "PUT DOWN" JUST BECAUSE AN EMPLOYEE AT A TRUCK STOP SAID TO THE POLICE THAT THE DOG "TRIED TO ATTACK HIM THROUGH THE WINDOW"  SOO BEFOR THE DRIVER WAS TAKEN TO THE POLICE STATION THE COP SAID " YOU MAY PICK UP THE REMAINS AT SUCH AN SUCH ADDRESS TODAY...."  ANOTHER DRIVER GOT OFF EASY, HE CROSSED THE SCALE IN ARKANSAS GOING TOWARDS TENNESSEE, AND THE SCALE MASTER GAVE HIM A 2500 FINE AND WAS TOLD.  "DON'T BRING THAT DOG ACROSS MY SCALE AGAIN, WE WILL TAKE IT AND PUT IT DOWN.

TRUCK DRIVING IS A LONELY JOB, AND WE ALL KNOW THAT PETS ARE HEALTHY TO HAVE,  THEY MAKE THE DRIVER GET OUT OF THE TRUCKS AND GO FOR WALKS, THEY KEEP THEM COMPANY AND PROVID HOURS OF RELAED FUN.

TN introduces ban on pit bull - includes AmStaff

HEADS UP in Tennessee!!

Senate Bill 2738 filed for introduction 1/14/08
"Creates a class A misdemeanor of knowingly owning a pit bull in this state"

The expanded version of the bill defines pit bull:
(2) "Pit bull dog" means any pit bull terrier; and

(3) "Pit bull terrier" means any American pit bull terrier, Staffordshire
bull

terrier, American bulldog or American Staffordshire terrier breed of dog or
any

mixed breed of dog which contains as fifty percent (50%) of its breeding the

breed of American pit bull terrier, Staffordshire bull terrier, American
bulldog or

American Staffordshire terrier, so as to be identifiable as partially of the
breed

American pit bull terrier, Staffordshire bull terrier, American bulldog or
American

Staffordshire terrier.

(b) It is an offense for any person to knowingly own a pit bull dog in this
state.

(c) A violation of this section is a Class A misdemeanor.

(d) In addition to the penalty imposed in subsection (c), the court making
the

sentencing determination for a person convicted under this section shall
order the

person convicted to surrender custody and forfeit the pit bull dog or pit
bull dogs if the...

Pit Bulls Don't Cry

I see the children in the lane
They look like friends, we'll have a game
They've got a stick, oh boy, what fun
They'll throw it for me and I'll run
But someone stops me,
I wonder why their mother screams "Don't go near those"
Horrid Dogs, come here, come close
They're dangerous-I'll tell you why
They bite little children and they die
All I can do is watch and sigh

Mum cuddles me up and says "My pet

What Animal Do I Speak Of?

Their love is like no other,their heart as pure as gold. Yet while going on a friendly walk,they're faced with stares of cold. They're so very close to human,in how they act and what they do,Unless you've known their devoted love,it's impossible to explain to you. They are greatly more misunderstood,than any other breed.We tend to punish this loyal dog, Instead of mankind's deeds.They are always and forever clowns, with a wish for center stage.Yet while displaying this sense of humor,most people disengage.They, oh, so want to make new friends,and run and jump and play.Yet when they happily approach,most people shy away. Often I've seen children poke,or hop on for a ride.And when I felt thay might get mad,they've only beamed with pride.I've seen there children yank and pull,with nary a reaction.Yet media's not interested,unless they've put someone in traction.When other dog's have made the news,this breed's name they affix.But when this brave dog saves the day, they call him "boxer mix".They love to snuggle up real close,to give lots of loves and kisses,Yet they suffer more than any,from unfair prejudices.Their tails wag hard and hips twist, too,more so than other mutts.So those of us who know the breed,we call them "wiggle butts".What animal do I speak of,Whose love is so unique? If you've truly known one,you know of whom I speak.There is no creature on this Earth who will ever make you merrier.The animal I do speak of,it's the American Pit Bull Terrier.

unclaimed child needs help!!!

Police in Fort Worth are searching for the person who abandoned a toddler at a pizza restaurant over the weekend.

Authorities were called to the Chuck E. Cheese Restaurant in the 4800 block of Southwest Loop 820 just before 8 p.m. Saturday night.

When officers arrived they found that a little girl had been abandoned. As of Monday morning no one had reported the child missing and police say the girl is unable to give any information as to her identity.


The child, whose name or nickname is believed to be "Mimi", is an African-American female. She is believed to be between three and four-years-old, stands 2'4" tall and weighs about 35 pounds.


When the little girl was found, she was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, one white and one pink sock, and no shoes.


The girl is in the custody of Child Protective Services.


Anyone with information as to the girl's identity is asked to contact the Fort Worth Police Department Crimes Against Children Unit at 817-332-5036 or call 911.


I cannot imagine what this little child was feeling being left alone.

RECENTLY I HAVE STARTED CHECKING THIS FREE ONLINE CLASSIFIED THING AND I LOOK UNDER PET OR FREE, FINDING PEOPLE THAT ARE LOOKING FOR PETS. I REPLY TO THEM BY TELLING THEM ABOUT A SHELTER IN THE AREA THAT NEEDS FOSTER HOMES AND FOREVER HOMES AND HOW IT BENIFITS THEM AND THE ANIMAL. AND HOW ENJOYABLE IT IS. CAN YOU THE ANIMAL LOVER, HELP ME OUT? I KNOW ALOT OF YOU WORK AND HAVE FAMILY, BUT FOR ME IT IS VERY REWARDING.

WHILE EVERYBODY IS HURRING TO DO TYHE LAS OF THEIR SHOPPING, REMEMBER THERE ARE DOG'S CAT'S AND OTHER TYPES OF ANIMAL'S THAT WILL NOT SEE CHRISTMAS SOME WILL EVEN GET "PUT TO REST" ON CHRISTMAS DAY. I FOUND THE FOLLOWING ON  craigslist
AND NOW I JUST DON'T SEEM TO HAVE THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT KNOWING THAT WHEN PEOPLE ARE GOING TO COMPLAIN "I DID NOT GET WHAT I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS"   THERE WILL BE ANIMALS THAT WILL BE PUT TO "SLEEP"

Check often....some animals aren't posted, so a trip out there may be needed to check for your lost family member and pal. Grins lost his life to BSL, a discriminatory, shameful law which killed a healthy, friendly dog because of his breed. Rescuers must fight BSL, and protect these sweet, loving souls. There has to be a way to turn the present mindset around and fight this injustice. Please rescue a bully in Grins' memory. Grins was a happy, friendly boy. In imminent danger of being euthanized because of BSL enacted as prejudice against his breed, we tried to save him. It made little difference that he had a great attitude and friendly demeanor. It didn't matter that he paid little attention to the dogs in the wire pens next to him. Labeled a vicious dog no matter how sweet and loving he was, he was euthanized, never to give joy to an adopter or to live out his life in the loving forever home he deserved. . God rest your soul, friend. Your grin lives on in our memory.

This Holiday Season

It is the time of year when people find themselves wanting to get a pet. not sure what kind they want. well i have started telling peple about fostering a pet and how easy it could be.

1) most of the time the food is provided
2) vet bills are taken care of in most cases
3) You can go through a varity of breeds and sizes
4) if you happen to attatch your self to one of the pets you could adopt it

it is a win win situation an animal does not get put to sleep and finds a wonderful forever home.
all it takes is some of your time, maybe a carpet cleaning, ( you know you might need one anyway.....lol)

please take the time to consider fostering an animal. and don't buy a pet because you have the cash on you when a deal is thrown at you.
