Here's how FEAR is defined by me -- Giving up so much to feel something that is really limiting & really sucks!

By choosing FEAR, we give up the love & joy we might get by taking chances exploring something new to us.

By choosing FEAR we give up our right to free will.

By choosing FEAR we give up the ability to live comfortably.

By choosing FEAR we choose to destroy paths that may have led us to greatness.

To FEAR is to have lost part of our soul and our true essence of who we really are.

FEAR is a weakness, a vulture, a distadvantage.

FEAR is a wicked vice which destroys human potential.

FEAR is completely opposite of a virtue and is not welcome in my personal dictionary or life.

Love & Blessings,

Why is it that we are always waiting for, or always wanting, something better than what we already have?

Why is it that we, as humans, cannot simply accept what we were given? The reason is because each of us has way more potential than we realize. We have been given a spirit within us that can achieve astounding success and peace, yet we choose to ignore it!

We're always waiting...

    • For something better to come along
    • For a better paying job
    • For the economy to get better
    • For our children to finish school
    • ...for everything!

Excuses, excuses, excuses! We're always trying to justify why we don't have something, yet we don't take enough action to actually achieve or receive it. We need to refocus our intentions - believe it or not, our innate intentions are NOT to wait around for something to happen. We were simply NOT programmed that way. Do you think that Thomas Edison waited around? No! He took action...infact, he is quoted for saying "Genius is 1 percent inspiration, 99 percent perspiration." Perspiration = sweat...sweat is produced by movement...so that's exactly what he did - he made moves that landed him as the 4th most prolific inventor's in history!

We're always wanting...

    • A better car
    • A better job
    • A better house
    • A more fulfilling lifestyle
    • A more understanding group of friends
    • To win the lottery...

We convince ourselves that when we get this "better car" or "win the lottery" that everything in our life will magically get better. We're insistent on believing that without those things, we won't get any more satisfaction out of our lives. But the truth is, it's not a matter of having those tangible items or that fancy lifestyle so many of us dream of - it's a matter of accepting that we don't, believing that we can have those things, and appreciating what we already do have.

Wants are not needs - in fact, let me prove this theory to you with a little picture I found on the internet:

Do you see the difference?

We don't need these things to survive or feel better - we just WANT them because we have convinced ourselves that having them will erase all the problems we've ever had or will put those problems on the back burner for a long time.

So the next time you see your friends, stop and think about the truth. Realize and appreciate what they do provide for you and learn to accept that everyone is not perfect and no one else knows what you expect from them. In fact, forget expectation all together. Expectations almost always lead to disappointment.

Live in the moment - and not only that, but realize that every moment we have is a stepping stone to that BIG moment we're all waiting for - when everything magically improves in our lives. Realize that the small raise of only $1.00 per hour that you received when expecting to receive a raise of $3.00 per hour is still a step toward the moment when you receive your big promotion. Understand that every single thing we do, everything we encounter in our daily lives, and everyone we meet stands a purpose and provides a lesson for us - whether it be one in disappointment, despair, hope or a fulfillment of some sort - accept it and learn from it.

Keep it in your mind that even if this wasn't the "big break" you were expecting, there's always hope for the future. You can never return to the past, so just forget about it. Don't dwell on what you can't change - embrace what could be. Always have hope and faith in yourself and the situations you are put into, and enjoy the present because that truly is what determines your future. The way you think and the way you act now, in the present moment, has a definite impact on your future. All health and bizarre circumstances aside, our lifespan is set for a pretty long time - stop acting dead - embrace the life you already have rather than waiting for the one you wish you had.
