Stefan Meylaers is a brilliant classical composer who composed two pieces for tonight's show!  He is a member of The Belgian Composers Association. Stefan Meylaers is a concert pianist, accompanist & composer whose music is regularly performed in Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Austria, Russia, & the USA; including Carnegie Hall, & the United Nations. It is also performed in Canada, Brazil, Cuba, South-Africa as well as heard on Radio and TV. Stefan has won contests including he Hedgehog-prize & was the only selected Belgian pianist to work at the Opera Studio from the Royal Muntschouwburg in Brussels. Stefan's first & second cd; "Portrait of a Composer" & "Portrait of a Composer II" are part of the famous Flanders Fields series presented by the Belgian label Phaedra. His music entices its listeners to enter in the gates of pure mysticism!

Doris Williams sings 'The Lord is My Shepherd'
at the opening of our show; accompanying herself on her beloved lute!
Doris has been singing and playing piano since
she was 5 years old. She grew up in an artistic family in
Michigan, with her father practicing piano all day and
her mother singing to her. The whole family would
often gather around the piano and sing a variety of
songs, from sacred to secular, Broadway to popular.
Doris received her Masters in Early Music from
Stanford University. In college her parents presented
her with a surprise birthday present - an eight course lute!
While raising her son and teaching private lessons, her lute
did not see the light of day, until the year 2002 when she
decided to brush the dust off of it and start performing
again. Her lute is now an integral part of her everywhere
she goes, whether it be a farmer's market, restaurant,
or church hall. And luck for the listeners of BlogTalkRadio;
Doris and her heavenly music are part of our lives tonight!
