Beatle John Lennon & his wife Yoko Ono's personal assistant in the early 1970's was May Pang. May was working for the Beatles management company; ABKCO and hired from there by John & Yoko. On the advice & with the approval of Yoko Ono; John Lennon and May Pang became lovers from 1973-1975!

According to legend; it was when Lennon was unhappy and unproductive; estranged from his family and band members. John Lennon is the most famously photographed Beatle, yet May Pang's beautifully sensitive photos capture a side of John we have never seen before.

In May's book; "INSTAMATIC KARMA: Photographs of John Lennon"; www.instamatickarma.com, her photos show Lennon clowning around, working on his hit album "Walls & Bridges" & hanging out in their Manhattan apartment.

"There were times I was a bit reticent in taking out my camera, like when some 'old friends' stopped by to hang out. I didn't want to intrude on these moments, but John insisted. He felt that I captured him in ways no one else did because of his comfort level with me...For years, only my closest friends got to see these photos-which were literally tucked away in a shoebox in my closet. They were surprised that these images did not convey the John that was portrayed in the press during our time together. In fact, they saw a side of John seldom seen" -May Pang.

The book also contains the historically important photo of Lennon signing the ending of the Beatles partnership document.

The San Francisco Lesbian/Gay Freedom Band is the first openly gay music organization ever, named the "official band of the City of San Francisco", inspiring the formation of lesbian and gay bands, choruses and performing troupes around the world. Founded in 1978 by Jon Sims at the height of Anita Bryant’s anti-gay crusade, the Band debuted marching ahead of Supervisor Harvey Milk’s convertible in the San Francisco Gay Freedom Day Parade. The Band has been making music to build understanding between gay and non-gay communities for 30 years! Its Dance-Along Nutcracker,a Bay Area holiday tradition, takes place every December at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. Tutu rentals and fairy wands are available for those with nothing to wear!

Fairy Artist! by Judy Jones

Adrielle Rose; the 'Fairy Artist' died in my arms.  As she took her last breath, her entire North Beach apartment filled with supernatural light.  It poured straight into her heart and ours.  The  nurse and I  tenderly removed her nightgown. We then dressed Adrielle in her most beautiful fairy outfit, laying her largest rainbow colored wings across her chest! 
 
Look up at the sky and remember not to blink.  See her?  That's Adrielle in her wings, dipping in and out of the galaxies and all the planets we shall shortly inhabit.  Don't be surprised if Adrielle is at the doors of our first spacecraft when it lands on Mars, dressed in her magnificent fairy wings, wishing us all love, light and bliss!
 
Thank-you Adrielle Rose for continuing to spread your magical essence, radiating rainbow colors to all. Fairies are my favorite 'winged creatures' you know!
