Once again, just as I started to think that winter was coming to a close, and nice weather was upon us, of course we get a rain and wind storm. Brrrrr. I do like rain, especially since it means snow in the mountains, but this cold wind is really not for me.
I have always loved halloween. All the neat costumes, kids running around so excited and happy, and on a more personal level, a time for everyone to step out of their usual shell, and be someone or something different. Halloween lets us all act and look different, and it is one of the few holidays or events that truly celebrates creativity and individuality. In a world where fitting rules, and where people work in bland offices, it is always heartening to see people have a chance to express themselves as different and be celebrated for it. Halloween may be considered a holiday for children, but I think that adults can get at least as much out of it as the children can.
