Lincoln County Animal Services is very rescue friendly.

But they are a Gassing Facility!

For Rescues to pull there is no Fee with Proof of 501c3.

They will have the Dog spayed/neutered ......for $85.00 including distemper and rabies shots. They can heartworm check for $7.00.

Please help these sweet Pups before they go to the Gas Chamber and die for no Reason other than People who didn't care if they lived or died.

Va~ Small rural shelter, I am (Saving furry Friends Rescue-Originator of Note also!) begging for help for them from other rescues.

61 (SIXTY ONE) Animals were taken in allone yesterday!
Inl~ 2 min pins, 3 chi's ( mom,dad and baby), female heeler mix, MANY tiger kittens, 2 corgi mixes, small male terrier 10 lbs.

1) Fortress Update

Recently, you were sent an alert about Fortress Investment Group who have lent
HLS $30 million since 2006 to help prop up their animal torture. With the help
of Fortress' loan over the past 3 years HLS have continued to torture and kill
about 540,000 animals.

After demonstrations in London and New York, Fortress made a false statement
saying that they not longer have a loan with HLS. Also, to try and take the
heat off them, they have colluded with HLS/LSR to create yet another front
company - River Partners of which they say have taken over the loan, this
company physically doesn't exist, it is just another shell company that
Fortress have used like in the past with BDO and Sub Anchor.

We call upon everyone near a Fortress office location to put pressure on them
and to ensure them that until they actually de-invest with HLS and actually
proof it. SHAC and the global animal rights movement will continue to target
them for the disgusting liars there are!

This disgusting company continue to use HLS even after knowing about all the

close down.

Meet Dutch a two year old male tree walking coon hound. Dutch came into our local shelter as a stray, sadly no one has come to reclaim him. Dutch's time 'was up' on the 7th but the shelter is trying to give him a few more days to find a home. That being said Dutch MUST be out of the shelter by Tuesday October 13th.

I just got a phone call that a hunter just dropped off 11 beagles(short legged) at animal control in Boone NC. Animal control is full...These mentioned may have till noon tomorrow.
5 females and 1 male may be adoptable..None are spayed or neutered.No pictures are available for these. The humane society took 3 beagle mixed puppies.
We also have 2 females and 1 male purebred Beagles that have been spayed and neutered by animal control and they have not been adopted for weeks now. They have been in kennels for weeks..These are purebreds..Most from hunters that do not want them anymore...
I am also searching for a home for a blue tick hound-another purebred not wanted anymore..He is less than 2 years old...A sweetie
Another person just brought 6 mixed breeds into animal control. His uncle died--theses are his dogs..He was asked to bring them back tomorrow.
Dogs can't be killed fast enough to make room for more unwanted dogs...rescues have no more room..
Our animal control officers are caring people and don't want to kill. Society sure does not make it possible to be compassionate. We need our lawmakers to make mandatory spay/neuter or take turns doing the killing themselves! What a shame....
