The Clean Air Tree Kit is the perfect way to show the green credentials of your company and commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, while raising awareness of your brand.

The World Clean Air Forest Initiative (WCAFI) is a not-for profit organisation which has created the Clean Air Tree Kit to get individuals and companies from all walks of life involved in simple but incredibly effective environmentally focused activities.

The Clean Air Tree Kit facilitates action on an individual and corporate level and functions as an eye-catching and intriguing promotional product, while highlighting your company or brand's loyalties towards green initiatives. Companies and brands can use the globe-shaped tree kits in promotional campaigns,  as corporate gifts, lead-generation programmes, purchase incentives, sponsorship premiums, fund raising aids, or as a CSR solution. In short, the possibilities are endless.

The tree kit's white globe is made from potato waste and is 100% biodegradable. In fact, every element of the Clean Air Tree Kit is either biodegradable or compostable, from the PLA (corn starch) used in the shrink-wrap to the vegetable and water based inks used in the instruction booklet.

It contains everything you need to grow your own tree with six to ten local seeds, growing pellet and a pot made from renewable natural resources.

How WCAFI's campaign works:

1. You plant one for your community

You can plant your tree kit at home or in your community. WCAFI is launching a Local Forest network that will show you where you can plant locally by connecting planters with available land, including government programs, farmers, and schools. Each tree kit also contains a special PIN code so that you can register your trees on WCAFI's web site and map. This data also offers opportunities for promotion via online marketing and social media.

2. We plant one for your World

For every Clean Air Tree Kit bought, WCAFI will plant an extra tree with our Tree Planting Partners around the world. Current locations include:

Haiti, Malawi, India, Ethiopia, Cameroon, Ghana, Senegal, Uganda, and Kenya.

These trees are given to local populations for their benefit and they only plant locally selected trees for their farms and gardens

The Clean Air Tree Kit is an interactive and tangible product that encourages action. It provides you with a means of engaging your customers in a campaign that has a significant positive impact on our environment.

Did you catch the latest news? Our partner: the UNEP who founded the Billion Tree-campaign succeeded in their goal; receiving enough pledges to guarantee the planting of more than a billion trees!  In their newsletter they wrote the following:

"Countries and communities as well as corporations and individual citizens across the developed and developing world have responded to the challenge with grassroots enthusiasm and commitment. It should empower governments everywhere in the sure and certain knowledge that addressing climate change is not a political risk but perhaps the most popular move of our time, with their electorate and the public right behind them..."

Whereas the planting of trees provides the environment with lots of benefits, the success of this campaign also makes it clear that together we can make a difference. It is our responsibility to work together for a cleaner world and a better future!

 Congratulations UNEP!

Quote of the Week

A human being is part of the whole, called by us "Universe," a part limited in time and space.  He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest - a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.  This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us.  Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole [of] nature in its beauty.

Eco-devils!

A lot of people fight climate change and try to create a better world. However nobody is perfect and even the biggest eco-warriors have a habit that is 'less' good to the environment. We call it the eco-devil! Everybody has an eco-devil inside, while for some people it's smoking, for others its the love for their car. There are some extreme examples though...

While John Travolta is also taking actions to aid the environment he has a really big eco-devil. You need to plant a lot of TREES John!

Tree-nation supports this project by planting a tree for every 100 Climate Messengers!

The window on our planet is closing as each year passes. Recent events are making it clearer that Al Gore's words of warning in bringing the message of climate scientists to the people are coming true. Therefore, 2007 is going to be a crucial year for the future sustainability of this planet. Which is why I ask for your help.

Throughout the past years I have been trying to inform and educate people about the catastrophe that awaits us should we not change our ways regarding the affect we are having on our planet. With the release of An Inconvenient Truth last May, Mr. Gore and the producers have managed to raise awareness of this crisis and our part in it to a level that will hopefully be sustained enough in the new year to warrant some real progress. Now with it winning an Oscar for Best Documentary, it is hoped that more people will begin to see the facts surrounding our hand in this crisis and our moral obligation to work to mitigate it.

However, that will not happen unless we take the information he and climate scientists have given us seriously and pledge to take the next step, which is to help him spread this information and to also change our own lifestyles in ways that will help preserve this planet and slow down the process of climate change which is already being seen in glaciers across this world regarding rapid melting that has put our own species and others such as rocker penquins and polar bears at risk of extinction, longer and more sustained and severe droughts that are affecting life and livelihoods already in over 35% of our world, acidic oceans unable to sustain the bio chain that links us all together, and other effects that are costing us economically and personally our only home.

The petition will then be sent by me to Mr. Gore directly to Nashville, TN. at the end of the month to show him the amount of support people have for his work on the climate crisis, and to show their signatures pledging to help him with it by becoming climate messengers and beginning the work necessary that must be done now to see positive change for the future. We can all do it this year. This can be the year we finally show our Earth that we truly do care for her.

This is about our very survival and is a moral issue.

Any sincere signatures any of you would then like to add to this petition that will go to Mr. Gore would then be appreciated. If you have seen even one film or read one report about the huge Ayles ice shelf that fell off in the Arctic and the glacial melting occurring all over this planet that threatens the water supply and food suplly of millions of people, or the total sinking of Locachara Island in India because of rising and warming seas and the projections of things to come unless we begin to make changes now, you will see that this is happening now and that we have a moral duty to address it. Therefore, please show your support and feel free to pass it on to others who might also be interested in signing this for our planet.

Hi everyone,

Thank you so much to everyone who is helping to support my project to fight Climate Change.  Just by joining and being active members you are helping.  I really appreciate all the feedback and advice that is being given.  We are getting very close to starting our nursery in Niger so it will be fantastic to see the photos and progress in the real world.

For those of you that don't know about my project or still haven't joined please visit my site, sign up and spread the word.  We are working so hard day and night to realize our dreams and keep our project growing.  If you can all sign up and show your support in the fight against climate change it will really help.

Thanks again and I hope to bump into you in the Tree-Nation park...
