Merry Meet, everyone!

I just wanted to say thank you for all of the birthday comments and green stars I received for my birthday. I would, by far, prefer to respond to each and every one of them in person. I was trying to do that. But there have been so many I simply don’t have time it would take. So, this message is to say thank you to everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes. Hi all,

Well, the job interview is over. Talk about a colossal waste of time… To be blunt, they lied when I talked to them on the phone. I was told that the job I was applying for was with an environmental activism group. Wrong. The job was with a fund raising group who just happens to be working for the environmental activism group for about three months before moving on to work for some other group for a few months before moving on to work for some other group for a few months… Basically, I’d have been spending about three hours a day commuting to and from their office in order to drive around parts of Tampa and knock on doors to beg for money for whatever organization they were currently working for. If I didn’t hit my daily donation quota, the difference would’ve been taken out of my weekly pay. So, that was a massive waste of time and gas. But, I want to thank all of you who put forth good thoughts for the interview. Maybe next time…

I’m writing this on the evening of Tuesday, June 12. As of yesterday evening, I have a job interview set up for 7 PM, this Friday evening. The interview is with an environmental activism group. Should I get the job, it will at the very least double my income, plus give me benefits. Could everyone who reads this please wish me luck on the interview? I don’t expect everyone to write to express the sentiment, but I could use all the good thoughts I can get.
