WHY do ALL of my freinds keep 'DISSAPPEARING??'   To my friends all I can do is apologise! ...but its NOT me 'removing you' from my lists.... everyone just keeps  dissappearing.. Sorry...but I have again complained to Care2..but as of yet have had no reply as to what is going off!

Illegal migrant admits nurse kidnap

An illegal immigrant has admitted abducting a nurse and leaving her tied up in the boot of her own car.

Magdeline Makola, 38, of Livingston, West Lothian, spent days locked in the boot before she was found by police on Boxing Day last year.

At the High Court in Edinburgh, Justice Ngema, 35, pleaded guilty to abducting the nurse, tying her up and placing her in the boot of the car.

Ngema used his victim's bank cards to fund a Christmas shopping spree and to drink champagne with friends while his victim lay shivering in sub-zero temperatures.

Gurkhas are fighting for Justice. They want the same terms and conditions as their UK and Commonwealth counterparts.

Britain has had no greater friends than the Gurkhas. They have served all across the world in the defence of our Country for nearly 200 years. Over 45,000 died in the two World Wars as part of the British Army. They are still fighting in the British Army today.

You may have seen in the media that the Gurkhas have been fighting in Parliament and the Courts. Step by step, things are getting better - but there is a long way to go.

The Government decision of 25th April 2009 on Gurkha settlement rights is yet another huge betrayal of the Gurkhas who have served our country.

Only a tiny fraction of the Gurkhas who retired before 1997 will win settlement rights under the new policy. A Gurkha will have to have served 20 years or more or won one of a handful of medals: the big majority of Gurkhas served for 15 years under standard army policy.

New rules for Gurkhas 'a disgrace'

Campaigners have condemned new rules giving more Gurkhas the right to live in Britain as a "disgrace".

Immigration Minister Phil Woolas said the changes would allow around 4,300 more former Gurkhas to settle in the country out of the 36,000 who served in the British Army before July 1997.

But supporters of the Gurkhas' campaign attacked the new criteria as "unattainable", with actress Joanna Lumley saying she felt "ashamed" of the Government.

Ragprasad Purja, 43, served with the Gurkhas for 17 years.

He said: "It is the saddest day for the Gurkhas and the saddest day for the British Government. I cannot believe that this Government made such a decision. I was proud of my service but now I am very sad."

Mr Purja, who was discharged after 1997, said he would continue campaigning for the former Gurkha soldiers who have been refused permission to settle in the UK.

"It's not justice, so we'll keep on fighting," he said.

David Enright, of Howe and Co solicitors, said: "They have set criteria that are unattainable. They require a Gurkha to serve for 20 years but a rifleman is only permitted to serve for 15 years. It's a sham and an absolute disgrace. It's far more restrictive than the old policy."

Mr Woolas said it was "simply not true" that the Government had betrayed the Gurkhas.

He told the BBC: "What we've done today is to allow even more people in without setting a precedent that would create a massive pressure in my view on the immigration service, which I don't think the public would want me to grant."
