Marc Emery is a Canadian citizen and businessman, a founder of the BC Marijuana Party, and an outspoken critic of both American and Canadian marijuana prohibition. On July 29th, 2005, he was illegally arrested by Canadian authorities collaborating with the American DEA. He was then extradited i.e. kidnaped to the U.S. where he was put on trial for SELLING SEEDS. This wasn't even a crime in Canada at the time. In order to protect his co-workers who were arrested with him, he accepted a guilty plea and has been in the American federal prison system ever since.
