Blog: Common Denominator

emotions is the common denominator of humanity.

emotions are always the same, it does not matter, country, culture, religion, age, color, language ... yes ... LANGUAGE.

Emotions feel the same here as everywhere around the world.  The same emotion is felt doesn't matter the language the person speak, his/her beliefs, culture, color, age ...

Emotions we all feel the same way ... the full range within polarities we all feel the same.

Let's then communicate through our emotions, the common link among all.

ps

everything i write in my blogs is a reflection of my life.

reflection = what i am really doing 100 % IN MY LIFE, MENTALLY, PHYSICALLY AND SPIRITUALLY.

pss

i will share with u a secret; of all my senses the one that flies me to the moon and back to earth is "HEARING".  Hearing has a sorpredent effect over the dynamic taking place within the polarity of my emotions.  As everything in duality, which moves from one extreme to the other; hearing  has the capacity to take me from one extreme to the other of polarity faster than any other sense.

I think that is a very interesting fact for me.  That is why, hearing, is a powerful tool when I am in charge of my emotions

psss

answer yourself the following question,

from your experience which situations worldwide you observed union among humans?

Blog: where have i been?

Playing the game LIFE.

learning what is life about?

it is to keep peace within.

How i do that?

The purpose of the game is to being in peace while interacting with the outer world.

I am learning how to being peace while living in the 3rd plane.

Understanding  why people do the things they do by placing myself in their shoes is the key for me.  Understanding doesn't mean I approve their actions in the sense that I would imitate them but I accept them.  That is how I am keeping inner peace on those moments that the outer world triggers within lower vibration emotions.  Afterall, the only one I have control over is myself not the others.

Being an HSP has its advantage point.

I have 2 options when I am the target of another one.  Do I choose to react and get angry or do I choose to be aware and act according to the emotion that gives me peace within?

After the experiences I went thru the past 2 weeks, I decided that is best for my well being the second option.

ps
when i don't understand others actions i just take a concious decision by thinking that i am only an instrument of the their karma.

pss
life is about feeling.  it is about going out to the world and feel the full range of my emotions until i transmute those lower vibration emotions in a higher vibration emotion.  what do you think is the higher vibration of enrgy in this 3rd planet where i inhabit?  love is the highest vibration of energy in this dual plane.  what do i feel within when i feel love toward the outer?  peace is what i feel.  so what i am learning now is alchemy, trasmuting the energy within when i experience the outer chaos.  those 2 weeks i transmuted anger, frustation, impotencia, desilucion, tristeza, decepcion in the highest energy vibration in this plane.

Blog: Patakís, the teaching tales or parables of the
orishas

“A youthful, childlike orisha, Ellegua is an active and mischievous divinity. In this story, he is walking down a dirt road after having caused havoc in a village. Disturbed because the inhabitants of the village had not honored him, Ellegua decided to create imbalance in their lives. Everything that used to be right, he made wrong. Ellegua dried the wells and filled them with sand. He made wild animals tame. The villagers were baffled.”

Ellegua’s actions caused tremendous confusion in the village. The villagers could not light fires to cook their food. They had no water to drink, and their farms were barren and dry. The angry villagers went out looking for Ellegua on the same road he had taken leading out of the town. They knew he would be easy to identify because he had been seen dressed in black. In reality, though, as I told my audience, this was only partly true, for he wore his traditional ritual colors—red on one side and black on the other.

As he walked on, Ellegua had a change of heart. He decided to return to the village and give the villagers the opportunity to repent for their disrespectful behavior and to honor him properly. But when he saw that they were consumed with anger, he decided to play a trick on them to teach them a lesson. In their temper and impatience, they still had not learned from their mistakes.

One of the villagers, noticing Ellegua dressed in red, asked him if he had seen a man dressed in black. Ellegua shook his head, smiled, and said, “No, I have not seen this man.” Without thinking, the villagers continued on the road looking for Ellegua, while Ellegua returned to the town, sat down, and waited. He knew that after a fruitless search, the angry villagers would return to their town with a change of heart.

And, of course, he was right. The villagers returned, tired and chastened, having recognized the error of their ways. They then set about preparing the ritual ceremonies required by Ellegua; he, in turn, set their lives in balance once again.

“Ellegua teaches us that we must look at all sides of the story in order to make an informed decision,” I carefully shared with my godchildren the lesson of this tale. “He reminds us that the obvious is not always the correct answer. He shows us there is much more to gain if we stop, think, and reflect before taking an action.”

Through our patakís, Santería teaches us the many ways of seeing the world to better understand our path in life. Santería encourages us to see and understand the sum total of the parts. To be one-dimensional in our thinking is to leave out a vast realm of possibilities, choices, and solutions. Ellegua teaches us to search actively for and to open the spiritual and secular doors to self-healing and empowerment. Other orishas have their own lessons, their own strands of wisdom to teach us. Woven together, their stories, energy, and power create a beautiful spiritual tapestry that is filled with portraits of pilgrims from many cultures, many faiths.

Blog: ... learning, learning and learning

What is below is information I copy and paste from Wikipedia.  I think is fascinating and if you want to know what is so fascinating you must read it first. Otherwise you won't understand the meaning of the last paragrah on this blog.

Yorùbá, In Brief

The philosophy of Yorùbá (also known as Irunmole, Ifa, Orisha or Aborisha) is that all humans have Ayanmo (manifest destiny) to become one in spirit with Olódùmarè (Olòrún, the divine creator and source of all energy). Each person in Ayé (the physical realm) uses thought or action energies to impact the community of all other living things including the Earth, and so to move towards destiny. As such, one's destiny is in one's hands. To attain transcedence and destiny in Òrún-Réré (spiritual realm of those who do good and beneficial things), one's Orí-Inu (spiritual consciousness in the physical realm) must be elevated to unify with one's Iponri (Orí Òrún). Those who stop improving are destined for Òrún-Apadi (spiritual realm of the forsaken). Life and death are cycles of habitation in physical body and spiritual realms while one's spirit evolves toward transcendence. This evolution is most advanced in Irùnmolẹ (oní irun, of the unique hair that distinguishes humans from beasts; imo, enlightened of destiny, ilẹ on the land)

For most people, iwapẹlẹ (balanced culture), meditation and sincere veneration sufficiently strengthen one's Orí-Inu. One is able to gbadúra (pray) for support of the Egungun (one's elevated ancestors) or the Orí-Òrún for application of the Odu (knowledge of all ages) to one's benefit. Those with strong motivation to manipulate destiny may consult Orunmila through Ifá (divination sciences) and ẹbò (offering). In invoking the Orunmila so directly, care is required to ensure alignment of thought and action. The Orunmila brings into motion either Oríṣà (benevolent or angelic forces) or Ajẹ (malevolent or demonic forces). All communication with the Òrún is energized by invoking Àṣẹ (the essence of Olódùmarè that gives life to all). Àṣẹ is delivered by Ẹlégbara (Eṣu, the divine messenger) who, without distortion or partiality for good or for bad, negotiates communication to the Òrún and navigates Òrún forces to the Ayé.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoruba_mythology

what is fascinating to me is not written above ...  must keep reading what is  below ...

The Yoruba religion is the religious beliefs and practices of the Yoruba people both in Africa (chiefly in Nigeria and Benin Republic), and in the New World, where it has influenced or given birth to several Afro-American religions such as Santería in Cuba and Umbanda and Candomblé in Brazil in addition to the transplantation of the homeland religions. Though specific numbers are unknown, it is possibly the largest African born religion in the world. Though claims are made for an ultimately Egyptian/African origin to Judaism, Judaism was finalized as the religion of the Hebrew people of the Levant. Christianity and Islam also have long histories in Africa, but neither of those can claim to be African identified in origin in their present state like the undoubtedly African religion of the Yoruba. While much of Africa has increasingly adopted foreign religions, many indigenous faiths remain. The lack of proselytizing or establishing written "rule books" prevents these religions from spreading as much as Islam or Christianity. Regardless, they survive, both in Africa and the Western Hemisphere.

Yoruba religious beliefs are part of itan — the complex of songs, histories, stories and other cultural concepts which make up the Yorùbá religion and society.

what is fascinating to me is that now i understand why  the Yoruba religion was prevented of spreading as much as islam and Christianity.

Strong quake shakes Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico

ST. JOHN, U.S. Virgin Islands (AP) — A strong earthquake jolted people awake Saturday in the U.S. and British Virgin Islands and nearby Puerto Rico. There were no immediate reports of damages.

The magnitude 6.1 quake was the strongest to hit Puerto Rico in 20 years, according to Christa von Hillebrandt, director of the seismic network on the Mayaguez campus of the University of Puerto Rico.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake struck was centered about 70 kilometers (43 miles) northwest of Anegada in the British Virgin Islands.

Disaster officials in the British Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico said there were no reports of significant damage or injuries.

"At first I thought it was a big truck rolling by but then I realized the windows were closed," said British Virgin Islands government spokeswoman Sandra Ward.

The quake struck on the 90th anniversary of the worst temblor ever recorded in Puerto Rico, a magnitude 7.3 quake that killed 118 people in the western half of the U.S. Caribbean territory, Hillebrandt said.

Blog: PUERTO RICO UPDATE

What can I tell you ....  It is true that this little island has not been directly affected by this year hurricane season, but that does not mean that it has not suffered the consecuences of many of the systems that had passed across the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea.

We haven't had the winds that those systems bring but we have had the heavy rains that they bring.  This summer we had many episodes of floods, been last month, 3 weeks ago, the worst.  This is what Kyle did here even before the system was designated a tropical storm; it was bringing deadly rains to Puerto Rico.At least four people were killed by the flood waters.

Now nature, who never stops surprising me, is playing games with us.  What is normal is that those systems are formed in the Africa Continent and then travel across the Atlantic Ocean until they hit the American Continent.  However this year I have seen 2 that had been formed in the Caribbean and Atlantic, been OMAR one of them.

This is the trajectory of Omar, which is not the usual trajectory of these systems. They usually move from east to west, but this one is moving from west to east.

OMAR

The rains Omar brings started yesterday afternoon, today, Monday, and the system still has not enter the island.

A large tropical depression has formed in the eastern Caribbean Sea and may become Tropical Storm Omar.tropical Depression 15, at 5 p.m. EDT, was centered about 355 miles SW of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Some strengthening is forecastas the depression remains relatively stationary. A tropical storm watch has been issued for Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands later today.

Very heavy rain (and the threat of significant flooding) is expected to continue. This rain will affect Puerto Rico, the Virgin islands and the northern leeward Islands.

The depression is forecast to continue strengthening tomorrow and begin moving northeastward.

Forecasters are also watching a broad low pressure area in the southwestern Caribbean off the Nicaraguan coast. Conditions are favorable for additional development and Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunters may investigate the disturbance Tuesday.

And I thought that we were save when September 2008 ended ...  nature proves me wrong.

Blog: back to society ...

Concepts are good for the mind but they are of no use when are not applied in the form plane.  Wisdom is achieve by experience and experience comes when there is manifestation.  Manifestation takes place in the form plane.

I can stay here in the internet writing into cyber space words that are interpreted as wisdom, but what use do they have when I write them if they are not accompanied by the knowing of my experiences to back them up?

Empty words are those that don't have a story behind them, been that story the writer experiences. Empty words are like a beautiful novel in the hands of the reader.

Blog: The Middle Way

1. To those who choose the path that leads to Enlightenment, there are two extremes that should be carefully avoided. First, there is the extreme of indulgence in the desires of the body. Second, there is the opposite extreme of ascetic discipline, torturing one's body and mind unreasonably.

The Noble Path, that transcends these two extremes and leads to Enlightenment and wisdom and peace of mind, may be called the Middle Way. What is the Middle Way? It consists of the Eightfold Noble Path: right view, right thought, right speech, right behavior, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right concentration.

As has been said, all things appear or disappear by reason of an endless series of causes. Ignorant people see life as either existence or non-existence, but wise men see beyond both existence and non-existence something that transcends them both; this is an observation of the Middle Way.

2. Suppose a log is floating in a river. If the log does not become grounded, or sink, or is not taken out by a man, or does not decay, ultimately it will reach the sea. Life is like this log caught in the current of a great river. If a person does not become attached to a life of self-indulgence, or, by renouncing life, does not become attached to a life of self-torture; if a person does not become proud of his virtues or does not become attached to his evil acts; if in his search for Enligtenment he does not become contemptuous of delusion, nor fear it, such a person is following the Middle Way.

The important thing in following the path to Enlightenment is to avoid being caught and entangled in any extreme, that is, always follow the Middle Way.

Knowing that things neither exist nor do no exist, remembering the dream-like nature of everything, one should avoid being caught by pride of personality or praise for good deeds; or caught and entangled by anything else.

If a person is to avoid being caught in the current of his desires, he must learn at the very beginning not to grasp at things lest he should become accustomed to them and attached to them. He must not become attached to existence nor to non-existence, to anything inside or outside, neither to good things nor to bad things, neither to right nor to wrong.

If he becomes attached to things, just at that moment, all at once, the life of delusion begins. The one who follows the Noble Path to Enlightenment will not maintain regrets, neither will he cherish anticipation, but with an equitable and peaceful mind, will meet what comes.

3. Enlightenment has no definite form or nature by which it can manifest itself; so in Enlightenment itself, there is nothing to be enlightened.

Enlightenment exists solely because of delusion and ignorance; if they disappear, so will Enlightenment. And the opposite is also true: there is no Enlightenment apart from delusion and ignorance; no delusion and ignorance apart from Enlightenment.

Therefore, be on guard against thinking of Enlightenment as a "thing" to be grasped at, lest it, too, should become an obstruction. When the mind that was in darkness become enlightened, it passes away, and with its passing, the thing which we Enlightenment passes also.

As long as people desire Enlightenment and grasp at it, it means that delusion is still with them; therefore those who are following the way to Enlightenment must not grasp at it, and if they reach Enlightenment they must not linger in it.

When people attain Enlightenment in this sense, it means that everything is Enlightenment itself as it is; therefore, people should follow the path to Enlightenment until in their thoughts, worldly passions and Enlightenment become identical as they are.

4. This concept of universal oneness - that things in their essential nature have no distinguishing marks - is called "Sunyata." Sunyata means non-substantiality, the un-born, having no self-nature, no duality. It is because things in themselves have no form or characteristics that we can speak of them as neither being born nor being destroyed. There is nothing about the essential nature of things that can be described in terms of discrimination; that is why things are called non-substantial.

As has been pointed out, all things appear and disappear because of causes and condition. Nothing ever exist entirely alone; everything is in relation to everything else.

Wherever there is light, there is shadow; wherever there is length, there is shortness; wherever there is white, there is black. Just like these, as the self-nature of things cannot exist alone, they are called non-substantial.

By the same reasoning, Enlightenment cannot exist apart from ignorance, nor ignorance apart from Enlightenment. Since things do not differ in their essential nature, there can be no duality.

5. People habitually think of themselves as being connected with birth and death, but in reality there are no such conceptions.

When people are able to realize this truth, they have realized the truth of the non-duality of birth and death.

It is because people cherish the idea of an ego personality that they cling to the idea of possession; but since there is no such things as an "ego," there can be no such things as possessions. When people are able to realize this truth, they will be able to realize the truth of "non-duality."

People cherish the distinction of purity and impurity; but in the nature of things, there is no such distinction, except as it rises from false and absurd images in their mind.

In like manner people make a distinction between good and evil, but good and evil does not exist separately. Those who are following the path to Enlightenment recognize no such duality, and it leads them to neither praise the good and condemn the evil, nor despise the good and condone the evil.

People naturally fear misfortune and long for good fortune; but if the distinction is carefully studied, misfortune often turns out to be good fortune and good fortune to be misfortune. The wise man learns to meet the changing circumstances of life with an equitable spirit, being neither elated by success nor depressed by failure. Thus one realizes the truth of non-duality.

Therefore, all the words that express relations of duality - such as existence and non-existence, worldly passions and true-knowledge, purity and impurity, good and evil - none of these terms of contrast in one's thinking are expressed or recognized in their true nature. When people keep free from such terms and fromm the emotions engendered by them, they realize Sunyata's universal truth.

6. Just as the pure and fragrant lotus flower grows out of the mud of a swamp rather than out of the clean loam of an upland field, so from the muck of worldly passions springs the pure Enlightenment of Buddhahood. Even the mistaken view of heretics and the delusions of worldly passions may be the seeds for Buddhahood.

If a diver is to secure pearls he must descend to the bottom of the sea, braving all dangers of jagged coral and vicious sharks. So man must face the perils of worldly passion if he is to secure the precious pearl of Enlightenment. He must first be lost among the mountainous crags of egoism and selfishness, before there will awaken in him the desire to find a path that will lead him to Enlightenment.

7. Buddha's teaching leads us to non-duality, from the discriminating concept of two conflicting points of view. It is a mistake for people to seek a thing supposed to be good and right, and to flee from another supposed to be bad and evil.

If people insist that all things are empty and transitory, it is just as great a mistake to insist that all things are real and do not change. If a person becomes attached to his ego-personality, it is a mistake because it cannot save him from dissatisfaction or suffering. If he believes there is no ego, it is also a mistake and it would be useless for him to practice the Way of Truth. If people assert that everything is suffering, it is also a mistake; if they assert that everything is happiness, that is a mistake, too. Buddha teaches the Middle Way transcending these prejudiced concepts, where duality merges into oneness.

Blog: Personality Style Nine: The Peaceful Person

Core Value Tendency: NINES are attracted to and value peace, harmony, and unity. They desire to make the world an ecumenical, harmonious, conflict-free place to live in. They like being peaceful, calm, and ordered and prefer to go with the flow. The universe is unfolding as it should and they see no need to push the river since it's flowing fine by itself. Being at one with yourself and your surroundings is what life is all about.

Adaptive Cognitive Schema:

The objective vision that keeps NINES aligned with their true nature and with reality is the realization of their unity with the universe and their functioning according to the same laws that govern everyone else. This gives them their sense of peace, harmony, integration, and oneness with all reality. They further believe that the laws of the universe are warm and loving (vs cold and indifferent) since they have given birth to organic, living, warm creatures. Teleology is built right into the laws of the cosmos. There is a value and meaning, a purpose and direction that is manifest in all that is.

Adaptive Emotional Schema:

The state that accompanies the NINES' objective paradigm is action, love wishing to pass itself on. Action flows naturally from a sense of gratitude for being loved, from the recognition that one is capable of loving, and from the desire to do something in return. Action arises when individuals want to actualize and transcend themselves by connecting with other people and with the Source of the universe.

Adaptive Behavioral Schemas

: Behavior that flows from a realization of being loved and loving, responding gratefully, and appreciating harmony, includes the abilities to reconcile opposites, find agreement, be diplomatic and allowing, and have an intuitive sense for when things fit together. NINES are easy going, calm, reassuring, non-pretentious, and relaxedly focused.

Maladaptive Cognitive Schema:

When NINES exaggerate their peaceful qualities, they over-identify with the idealized self image of I am settled. To compensate for a maladaptive belief that they are not important enough to be cared about or don't matter enough to be listened to, and to keep themselves from feeling neglected, NINES develop an attitude of resignation: "What's the big deal? Why get upset? Nothing is that important. We're not around that long anyway. Whatever we do will be undone eventually so why exert so much effort?" NINES settle in for the duration and go on automatic pilot. They neglect what is most important to them and fidget with distractions.

Maladaptive Emotional Schema:

Along with the disposition to neglect what is essential, NINES experience the passion of indolence. They turn down their energy, settle into a comfortable routine, procrastinate, diffuse their attention, and don't take care of business.

Maladaptive Behavioral Schema:

Perceiving the world as neglectful and indifferent, and feeling indolent about what matters most to them, NINES merge with the identities and agendas of others and forget about their own goals and desires. They lose themselves in the opinions, feelings, and aims of others. What others are thinking and pursuing become more compelling than what they want. Postponing decisions and actions, NINES let their life take its course or let life happen to them. They become inattentive and fall asleep to their deepest desires.

What is Avoided:

Because they are trying to be settled, NINES avoid any kind of conflict. They don't allow themselves to get too enthusiastic about anything important. They avoid differences and highlight sameness and agreement. It's difficult enough for NINES to locate their own ideas, feelings, and ambitions, let alone to assert them and act on them. NINES avoid focusing, discriminating, and prioritizing. If everything is the same, it's difficult to make a decision. At the same time any decision they make has equal merit or weight.

Defensive Maneuvers:

NINES ward off conflictual impulses and situations by numbing themselves and those around them. This is called narcoticization. When NINES say it doesn’t matter, they are also implying they don’t matter and you don’t matter. One way to avoid disappointment is to lower or eliminate your expectations. Nothing can hurt you if you don't let anything matter or get to you.

Childhood Development:

NINES were the non-noticed children. They sensed their caretakers didn't pay enough attention to them, had other more important things to do, or, perhaps, didn't love them or care about them. Just as their caretakers neglected them, so NINES learned to neglect themselves. Instead of expressing themselves, they distracted themselves. Instead of feeling the pain of not being sufficiently cared for, they resigned themselves for the duration, numbed out, learned to not let things get to them, and assumed a laissez - faire attitude. NINES were the not noticed children.

Non-Resourceful State:

When NINES are under stress, they become more resigned, more shut down, more asleep, and avoid their issues even more. They
