      Please note this - it's really important.  I don't care about
      being on the front page, I do care about as many people
      as possible know about this.  It's terrible.  I sent this out
      last night, and no one responded.  Tens of thousands of
       additional people have died in Myanmar simply because of
      how the government has handled the crisis.  Please take
      the time to read and note this - people need to be aware
      of what is happening

Please note this.  This is horrible news, and I want as many people as possible to be aware of what is happening.  The government of Myanmar has handled this entire crisis so poorly, that tens of thousands have died for no reason. It is inexcusable and not acceptable.  I can't believe that they are doing this to their people after what the population has already suffered.  It really saddens me.

Please help release this man who was unjustly imprisoned

I am doing this because I cannot abide seeing anyone imprisoned unjustly.  At Guantanamo, people can disappear for years with no charges.  Please sign this petition to have this man released.  Eleanor has been working on this for a while (see below).

Thanks to all my friends who have signed and forwarded this petition which means so much to me.  This man could die very soon if he is not released.  In the present climate where possibly the US government is hoping to close Guantanamo down, a petition could maybe help.  So it's worth a try.  But to send a paltry number wouldn't do very much good.  If you haven't signed, would you please?  And if everyone who cares could forward to some friends, maybe the numbers would go up.  I have had many signatures from friends of friends and I appreciate them so much.

This petition requests the release from Camp Delta, Guantanamo Bay, of the Sudanese journalist and cameraman, Sami al-Haj, who was arrested while doing his job and has never had any connection with terrorism.
