Dear friends,

Polish Fudation/Rescue for horses (actually they have all kinds of animals in the rescue click here to see them: http://stacyjkamaltusia.ovh.org/zwierzeta.php) is asking for help as they have many problems with sick animals. They need more money at now as there is winter in Poland, but they need money also for complicated surgery and treatment of young horse called Lezka. Lezka has broken leg which will need surgery and probably amputation, people from the fundation want to collect money to buy a prosthesis for her.

As you can imagine there are mainly sick and neglegted animals in the rescue which need medical treatment.

Aleksandra Czechowska from the fundation wrote a sad letter that she is very worried about all sick animals. They need medical help at now and the fundation has no money but unpaid bills form hospital and vet.

On their site http://stacyjkamaltusia.ovh.org/

(only in Polish but look around) they have all information what the money are needed for.

I've got a letter where somebody writes that the horse Lezka should be put down, not tortured. People can't understand that medicine is very advanced now and living with prosthesis is nothing odd. Lezka is 6 months old pony, when she had been taken from her owner she had already infection of her broken leg. Vets said there was 10% chance to save the leg (it was one month ago). Lezka is still in hospital and vets say that the only help is amputation. The cost of surgery and prosthesis is about 3.300 $.
Here you are the photos of Lezka:
