Nobody can do everything but everybody can do something.

This is one of my many philosophies of life. If everyone tried to do at least their part in recycling, being kind hearted and compassionate perhaps we could bring this world around to one that is a better place to live in.

I know that it is not possible to be loving and compassionate with every person, some really put us to the test. But we can try to show love and compassion to at least one person a day, can we not? The checker at the grocery store, the waiter or waitress at the restaurant, the person standing next to you at the bus stop.

Doing just one nice thing to or for someone will maybe lead them to do one nice thing to someone else and as the effort is paid forward more and more people will be doing nice things for people everyday.

The Dalai Lama's words of wisdom today:
"Each individual has an opportunity to make a difference."

Peace to all

It's springtime in the Rockies! Yesterday I bought my first annuals to plant in my pots on the patio! I live in a townhouse and only have a small patio but I fill it to the brim with flowers! I love going out there and playing in the dirt. I so enjoy the beauty I have out there for as long as I can.

For me, playing in the dirt is mental health work. I really enjoy "putzing" with them, watering them and generally taking care of them.

Peace to you

Developing a kind heart does not involve any of the sentimental religiosity normally associated with it. It is for everyone, irrespective of race, religion or political affiliation. It is for anybody who considers themself a member of the human family.           -Dalai Lama-
