I came across this site from Kim Komando.

Just how safe are your tires. Watch this video and see what can tragically happen.

Comments made in the year 1955! That's only 53 years ago!

"I'll tell you one thing, if things keep going the way they are, it's going to be impossible to
buy a week's groceries for $20.00."

"Have you seen the new cars coming out next year? It won't be long before $2,000.00 will only
buy a used one."

"If cigarettes keep going up in price, I'm going to quit. A quarter a pack is ridiculous.

"Did you hear the post office is thinking about charging a dime just to mail a letter?"

"If they raise the minimum wage to $1.00, nobody will be able to hire outside help at the
store."

"When I first started driving, who would have thought gas would someday cost 29 cents a gallon.
Guess we'd be better off leaving the car in the garage."

"Kids today are impossible. Those duck tail hair cuts make it impossible to stay groomed. Next
thing you know, boys will be wearing their hair as long as the girls."

"I'm afraid to send my kids to the movies any more. Ever since they let Clark Gable get by with
saying DAMN in GONE WITH THE WIND, it seems every new movie has either HELL of DAMN in it."

"I read the other day where some scientist thinks it's possible to put a man on the moon by the
end of the century. They even have some fellows they call astronauts preparing for it down in
Texas."

"Did you see where some baseball player just signed a contract for $75,000 a year just to play
ball? It wouldn't surprise me if someday they'll be making more than the President."

"I never thought I'd see the day all our kitchen appliances would be electric. They are even
making electric typewriters now."

"It's too bad things are so tough nowadays. I see where a few married women are having to work
to make ends meet."

"It won't be long before young couples are going to have to hire someone to watch their kids so
they can both work."

"Marriage doesn't mean a thing any more, those Hollywood stars seem to be getting divorced at
the drop of a hat."

"I'm afraid the Volkswagen car is going to open the door to a whole lot of foreign business."

"Thank goodness I won't live to see the day when the Government takes half our income in taxes.
I sometimes wonder if we are electing the> best people to congress."

"The drive-in restaurant is convenient in nice weather, but I seriously doubt they will ever
catch on."

"There is no sense going to Lincoln or Omaha anymore for a weekend, it costs nearly $15.00 a
night to stay in a hotel."

"No one can afford to be sick anymore, at $35.00 a day in the hospital it's too rich for my
blood."

"If they think I'll pay 50 cents for a hair cut, forget it."

When in the hell are the Democrats going to do what they were elected to do??!! This is so reminisent of the Republican take over in a prior election. The only thing that is missing is the "Contract for America." The Republicans didn't do anything they said they were going to do then either.

We elected the Democrats to get us out of that hell hole we created in Iraq. We are still there with one American after another being killed daily. What happened? They caved to the head of the American Nazi Party, George Bush.

We elected them to do something about the gouging going on with big oil. What has happened ... NOTHING! They caved in to the folks who pass out the $$$ in DC, the lobbiests.

We elected them to protect our privacy and to stop domestic spying. Yep, they caved in again to the threat ... just a damn threat of a VETO. What are they thinking?

Speaking
I am so ashamed and embarrassed over the leadership of the Senate and the House. They both are useless and need to be replaced. They need to find someone who has the gonads to stand up to the White House and take it to the floor. If Bush VETOS the bill, then take it to the people.

To my knowledge, there in not one thing the President can do that Congress cannot over ride. NOT ONE THING! We have a majority in the House, but what do they do? CAVE! We have enough votes in the Senate to override anything the President does, but what do they do ... CAVE!

Instead of piss, bitch, moaning and groaning about the President, it is time we start piss, bitch moaning and groaning to those people we elected (well for those whose votes got counted) and get the ball rolling.

In my warped mind, we the people, elected the Democrats to do 4 things.
1) get us out of Iraq
2) repeal the treaties that have taken hundreds of thousands of jobs to 3rd world countries
3) protect our individual privacy and cease the domestic spying without judicial oversight
4) BALANCE THE BUDGET!

Now, I ask you to look at those four basic items and tell me, no yourself, what have they done? I'm afraid you will see, NOTHING has been accomplished whatsoever!

Whew ... got that out of my system. Now, please do what I do. Call your Congressperson and tell them you are tired of what is happening in Washington. Tell them they were elected to accomplish specific tasks and have lost sight of why they were sent to DC. Tell them you want ACTION! and you want it NOW!!

Thanks for taking a moment to read this. I hope it makes you mad, not at me, I'm not a decision maker, but I hope it awakens you to the fact that the Democrats we elected are no better than the rectial orifices who were already in office. Please, do something to make change in America, while we still have one.

Hugs from Pensacola,

Patrick

A champagne stopper may be the very last thing you consider essential, but in our house we do. I love champagne, but I don't like it to go flat and when we enjoy our takeaway chinese and champagne nights once a week with mum it certainly gets used. So...
