Announcements
You may have seen some variation of an e-mail message that promises that you can download Windows Vista now. This is spam--and a kind of scam known as "phishing" that is designed to steal your personal information. You should never click links in e-mail messages or respond to a message with sensitive information when you're unsure of the source. For more information, see this article.
If you've received a "Windows Defender has expired" message, don't worry. Windows Defender Beta 2 expired on December 31, 2006, but the final release of Windows Defender is now available. It offers the same spyware protection, with some noted improvements. And it's still free. Go to the Microsoft Download Center to get the final release of Windows Defender today.
