The greenest city in the country now has the greenest event! A cool new event, the Better Living Show, is coming to the Portland EXPO center. Opening day is Friday, March 28, 2008 and the show lasts until Sunday, March 30th. The Better Living Show is all about teaching people how to live green and actively participate in helping our world remain as beautiful in the years to come as it is now.

Portland is the perfect place for a show like this, because us Portlanders have always been environmentally conscious. But one of the great aspects of the show is it is for everyone, not just us treehuggers. There's stuff for people of all levels of involvement.

Put on by Blue Ocean Events, Inc, their goal is to give us local resources to help make healthier and more balanced choices in seven different areas-
lifestyle
green home and garden products
local and organic food/beverage
eco adventure
conservation
recycling
transportation
clean tech
- all the while promising there will be entertainment, social activities, food tasting and a bunch of exciting happenings every day.

Even better, the show producers felt so strongly that the information should be easily accessible to everyone that they decided to make the event free to the public!! That means it will cost us absolutely nothing!!! Plus there is a max train, the yellow line, which ends at the EXPO center, so getting a ride isn’t a problem either.
