I just saw a compelling story on CNN about a California woman whose identity was stolen and sold to 200+ illegal aliens. Her social security number was used by these illegals to obtain employment in the U.S.

This was only discovered when she got a bill from the IRS for over $1,000,000 in unpaid taxes. She also discovered the fraudulent actyivity affect her social security records.  When no agency would hjelp her clear her name, she tracked down one of the illegals who used her information (he was in Texas, by the way) BY HERSELF to get enough evidence to correct her records. Beefore she was able to clear up the entire mess as muich as she could, she was actually detained by Customs when she tried to take a business trip with her husband.

By the bye, she is the daughter of a LEGAL IMMIGRANT from Guatemala who fought in WWII.

The IRS has "forgiven" the back taxes, but the Social Security Administration has wiped out all the evidence of her legal earnings over her lifetime and she now has a Social Security balance of ZERO.

NO ONE has prosecuted the employers who hired these illegals, and the employers themselves refuse to take action against their illegal workers. The ICE unit has done NADA as far as pursuing, arresting and/or deporting these leech workers for their part in this fraud.

What more needs to be said about our unenforced immigration laws and the dangers of the proposed "guest worker" program? Only a naif would believe that forgery and fraud is not rife in the illegal alien pipeline!
