I'm trying hard, and with difficulty, to get my family room finishedASAP. Since I don't know if I'll have any more time this week to work on stitching, I decided I'd better post what I have done, even though it's not a lot.
This is the dress that I made my granddaughter for her birthday. She loves to dance, and she loves twirly dresses. She also loves the colors purple and pink. I had a pattern for a twirly dress and some purple fabric. Actually it was more lavender, but it was also very plain. I decided I would use the embroidery machine and put some embroidered butterflies on it. Since the dress had six panels I chose six butterflies. While I was figuring the placement of the butterflies I decided that one per panel was not enough. I didn't stop to think how many there were in the collection, so I simply doubled the six I had.
I'm not sure what happened to February and March! I was going to be more regular about posting and Poof! I don't post for two months. Oh, well... I'm back!
Despite not posting, I have been doing stuff. This post is my TAST catch up. Lots of pictures follow.
Cloth • Paper • Scissorshad a photo that caught my eye when I liked them on Facebook. It's from the Photo Friday Challenges on edtor Jenn Mason's Blog: Outside the Box.
When I first saw it, I thought of stitching the tire tracks.
Which is actually pretty normal for me. I keep trying to get organized (for the past 50+ years), but it never seems to stick for more than a day or two ... and I don't mean just for Christmas. I'll keep working on it because it scares me how bad it might be if I never tried!
Tree is up, but no decorations, yet. Hopefully, this weekend. I've started to play my Christmas music to get me in the proper mood. I got a new Steampunk Christmas album and I really love it, but I also love all the old songs and renditions, too.
This is the only time I really miss snow. What I remember from my childhood (teens) is shopping (on foot, no car) in the snow. It was always peaceful to come out of the store to the sounds of Christmas in the snowy twilight (or night). I miss that. But I hope to do much of my shopping right here in Salem so I can walk from store to store and keep the driving to a minimum.
...Which I need like a hole in the head, but... I was thinking about that as I worked. I'm going to chalk it up to ADD. I just can't get the physical project done as fast as I'd like and I sort of get bored. Eventually I get things done. Those on which I get stumped are done later. Those that are easy and/or short get done sooner.
I didn't forget last week, but it was Thursday when I remembered and then something interrupted me and I never got back to it. It is one of my goals to be more regular about posting, but it's probably going to be slow progress.
Anyway... on to my progress and the pictures...More Here...

Christmas wish for 2008
Once again we are near
that time of year that
has many differing
beliefs for the many
people here at care2 and
the world we live in.
Most if not all of us
have things we wish for
at this time of year
though and I do as

I have seen and read this

Never has it failed to
