Thanks to antoher group member who has been trying desperately to get further information so we can help - I now have the following information:

Mary, This was just posted on nola. Evidently, they are paying the $200 ransom. Trying to get funds together to pay for transport. Will update as soon as I know something. Can I post your email address so you can be in direct contact with those girls?

Just received this email with specifics on how to help this horse:
"You can use this link (if you can use paypal) to send the money, mark the horses description on it!www.ac4h.com

Otherwise call Christy at Phone: 610-621-5290 leave her a message or email her atchristy@anotherchance4horses.com

Each person can send some funds and mark them for the particular horse, she will go and get the horse from the broker and someone can arrange to pick him up. She is GREAT to work with...Christy Parker"


Also, I just received an email from the BITS cordinator, and I am correct, it would be FROM PA to FL.
Thanks to all who have been trying to help! I will continue to post informaiton as I receive it.

Save this horse from Slaughter - tomorrow is her deadline!

I just recieved the following email from Stormy's Foster Mom - Please Read, and pass on through your groups. This horse only has until tomorrow or she goes to slaughter!

There is something you could do for me.  We came across a mare that is going
to the NH meat auction tomorrow if she doesn't have a home by then.  We've
offered to pay her "ransome" of $200 if AC4H can find sponsor's for her
transportation to us and Christy at AC4H's is trying.  I don't know if you
pray or not, but if you do, please pray that this mare can find a way to us.

The look in her eyes says she's given up.  I think she needs us as much as
we need her right now - we miss our Frosty so much.

When going to the website above it took me some doing to find the Mares listing - so I decided to post it here as well:
Palomino Paint mare 2 blue eyes - aprox 14 hands smooth mouth top teeth are short eats grain and hay she is a been there done that mount rides alone respons to leg cues walk, trot and is quiet.

I would take her in, but my barn is full, and my new adopted horse Stormy comes home Sunday!
