This is very SAD

What is sad is this for every "1" AIDS there are "5" with Hepatitis C and no one wants to do anything about it to help.

Please I encourage everyone that reads this to pass this on to their friends and so on.

Alot of us here have helped in ways you can't imagine sometimes things that don't have anything to do with Hepatitis C but we are CARING very CARING people.

We would help in many and all ways possible.

I am begging you, to listen because this epidemic IS only getting worse.

Love and peace, Laurie

I am thinking that the Noting or lack of, on this item is telling something, that I should already have known.
The post seems to have past un-noticed or ignored,
just like those who are un-fortunate enough to suffer!!

Hepatitis C Advocates UNITED!

World Hepatitis Day Action Alert

Flood Congress With Calls on May 19th and Demand Leadership!

The statistics are staggering:

  • Hepatitis C is the most common, chronic blood-borne viral infection in the United States

  • An estimated 5 million Americans (at least 1 in 50) have been infected with the hepatitis C virus.

  • Hepatitis C is the most common cause of chronic liver disease in the U.S. – and chronic liver disease is in the top ten killers for Americans 25 years of age and older

The federal government's response:

  • A mere $17 million per year for all viral hepatitis programs

  • President Bush has proposed a cut in hepatitis funding in next year's budget

  • Legislation to mount a comprehensive fight against the disease has stalled

Angry? Want to make a difference?

Make three phone calls on May 19th and demand that Congress take action!

How you can help:

On Monday, May 19th (World Hepatitis Day), call your U.S. House Representative and two U.S. Senators in their Washington, DC office. Ask to speak to the staffperson who handles health care issues. You might speak to this person live or you might get voicemail.

I would want all the prayer I can get for my mom and I strongly believe in the power of prayer!!!

Thank you ALL!!!

Well my mom came home last night and she was very tired we left Johns Hopkins around 9:30pm EST. We were home by 10:30pm.

They only did the Cardiac Cath and the surgery will be later but they found more. Along with her leaking valve, her aortic aneurysim, and now this.

They found that the hole in the heart chamber when your born would generally close well her's didn't close all the way So as the blood passes through the heart then down to the lungs to the heart again her's was through the heart then through the hole to the other side of the heart. Bypassing her lungs ing shortness of breath.

Therefore her Pulmonary circulation is not what it should be.

The doctors told her it IS fixable but when we don't know yet but I will keep every one posted!!!

Thank you and God bless you for your prayers andng those prayers with others.

They are needed always!!! Please light a candle

Love Laurie

Ps... Until next update!
