FAKE SHELTER / RESCUER ALERT (Rocky Mount , NC)
April 17, 2008
Tony & Rebecca Williams claim to have a rescue in Rocky Mount , NC and are trying to get dogs from all over the Eastern Seaboard. (She offered to take 14 dogs since Monday.) They are using these dogs for illegal dog fighting. She continues to take dogs. Most are pit bulls, with some offers to adopt Presa Canarios, Rottweiler's, Dobermans, and Wolf hybrids. In addition, she had previously posted that her roommate was looking for a Great Dane or Great Dane mix. She also posted that she was "desperate" for a Chihuahua and she really wanted a Min Pin and a Jack Russell. She claims her rescue is a pit bull rescue, but another pit rescuer called the local Animal Control

On 1 July 2009, the Namibian seal cull of baby Cape fur seals will become the largest and cruelest seal hunt in the world. For the next 139 days seal clubbers in Namibia will beat to death 91,000 baby seals who are still suckling their mothers. These seal skin imports were banned in the US in 1972. Although the EU has banned Cape fur seal product imports in 2009, and met Namibian Prime Minister Nahas Angula in 2007, Namibia has vowed to go ahead with its baby seal cull.

I implore you to politely ask HATEM YAVUZ to issue a public letter to announcing he will no longer buy Namibian seal fur skins. Thank you very much. For the Seals

There is a thriving dog- and cat-fur industry in Asia, and China supplies more than half of the finished fur garments imported for sale in the U.S. Most of this fur is falsely labeled as "rabbit fur" or is simply not labeled at all. And since raw fur pelts often move through international auctions before they are sewn in other countries, the final products might also read, "Made in Italy" or "Made in France."

In Australia, a country that claims to be an industry leader, more than 2,500,000 sheep, cattle, and goats have died on live-export ships since 1981. Live exports from New Zealand were halted in 2004 when more than 5,000 sheep died on an Australian ship en route to Saudi Arabia, prompting a huge public outcry. Despite public opposition, the New Zealand government is considering reopening the live-export trade.

With deep shame and disgust I have read about the treatment of cows in the diary "business" with the use of torture, instead of respect and dignity!


I politely urge you to ask the Dairy Farmers of Ontario (DFO) to immediately  disconnect and remove the "Shock Bars"and "Tail Restraints" from your "Tie Stall" dairy cow barns in Ontario Canada.  


I, and most of the other people I have told about this torture practice, find your practice of shocking dairy cows to keep them from naturally humping their back to Urinate and Poo totally unacceptable.  In our opinion the practice of restraining the dairy cows tail so that she cannot naturally "swish" an itch or flies amounts to "cruel and unusual punishment", Quite like tying a humans hands and putting them in a fly infested environment.


I understand that the "sole reason" for these "Barbaric" practices is the convenience of the Farmer and these practices do not contribute in any positive way to the welfare of the cows or the milk quality. This type of "torture" would NOT even be allowed in Guantanamo, you must end it NOW! Your ending these practices would require very little time an NO capital cost.  Until you do end these practices, we the consumers of your milk products PROMISE  to do everything we can to reduce our milk consumption.


Thank you for your time and I urge you to end these barbaric practices for now and for ever, and to embrace respect and compassion into your mind heart and attitude towards ALL living creatures.
