Mental illness is criminalized in America, and there are presently approximately 1.25 million mental patients imprisoned in our country.  Homelessness, prison, and death must cease being our answer to this disability.  See my Care2 News article dated 5-14-08 to see a young lady having a bi-polar crisis on the Atlanta MARTA train and follow her story:

It is not often that the public has to witness a psychotic crisis by a mental patient, as seen on the film presented on the attached news story. Increased access to treatment is warranted for acutely mentally ill Americans.
