Judge Kevin Fine, USDC-Dist. 177, Texas
Pronounced capital punishment unconstitutional

THANK YOU, JUDGES!   Judges and juries are changing justice in America for the better.  I was surprised and delighted to read that the U.S. prison population declined for the first time in decades.  Many people are grateful to you for using drug courts, mental health courts, and being more careful to evaluate the evidence presented against defendants.  Thank you especially for the decline in death penalty sentencing in every state except California. Even Texas' death sentences declined, a state that can be very proud of judges like Judge Kevin Fine.  We appreciate all that you do to be just and compassionate, judges and juries in America. We count on you, and you are demonstrating that you care about justice.  The Bible refers to the leaders of God's people as judges.  You have much power, and we appreciate your using it righteously.  Juries are comprised of people in the defendants' communities.  They have reevaluated justice lately and returned more humane sentences across the nation.  Thank you, defense attorneys, especially hardworking public defenders. I believe even our prosecutors may deserve praise. Perhaps they are not withholding evidence from defense attorneys and coercing witnesses as often. We need prosecutors to help put people behind bars who violate our property rights and safety, but not innocent people. Police officers are likely being more careful with evidence.  It likely takes change from many people to lower sentences.  California has a dismal report at number 11 below and Indiana at number 4, but this is a good news report otherwise.  See the exciting headlines beneath my signature block!  Also, read about Darrell Lomax after the links.  He is a wrongly convicted condemned man in California.

Darrell Lomax is in San Quentin, a likely innocent man who has been on death row for over 15 years.  None of the evidence in his case points to him.  He is a victim of inadequate defense.  In fact, Lomax's first public defender was also representing a man who was State's witness against him.  Next, Lomax was assigned a prosecutor to act as his attorney, and none of Lomax's witnesses were called to the stand.  Read more about Darrell Lomax online, and please sign his petition to save him from execution.  California reports that it plans to soon resume executions, right when more civilized states like New Mexico have repealed capital punishment, and even Texas death penalty sentencing is declining.
Please help Darrell Lomax.

I love it that my cyberstalkers had to profess Jesus Christ as Lord and pray in order to read this post.  Awesome!

May 14, 2009

As if it were not bad enough the things that were done to Larry Neal and to squash his family's justice quest after his wrongful death while under secret arrest, THESE FOLKS ARE STILL TRYING TO CATCH ME AWAY FROM HOME!  I just tried to sneak out from my house to buy cigarettes a little while ago - yeah, I know I was supposed to quit.  Pray for me.

It was barely 6:00 a.m.  The white car from a couple of houses to my left came right behind me.  As I turned onto Biffle, the black van from the house across the street came, too.  As the white car passed a vacant house with overgrown grass on Biffle, it gave a little toot, and a red car came out of the driveway. The guy was so busy looking at me, he swirved almost too wide on his turn.  I guess they were all going to convene at whatever store I went to, so I just turned around and got behind a school bus for company and returned home.  God has all kinds of ways to help folks stop smoking!

Many interesting and supportive comments are posted on our petition for dog justice for the mentally ill.  Ours is a petition to the USDOJ to please give my American family and my deceased brother the courtesy given to Michael Vick's dogs after their deaths.

IF THIS LINK FAILS, JUST COPY AND PASTE IT IN THE BROWSER OR TYPE "PETITION TO THE USDOJ FOR DOG JUSTICE FOR THE MENTALLY ILL."

Sometimes the cyberstalkers don't allow my links to work.  If you get an AIMI inviatation to the Human Rights for Prisoners March, TRY THE LINK AT THE BOTTOM - our Care2 group AIMI.

A SHOUT-OUT OF GRATITUDE FOR ALL OF YOU WHO STAND WITH US ON THIS ISSUE!  Here are some of my favorite recent comments:

378.       chief wana dubie   --  the government has become the criminal

339.      Troy    --  All of us psychiatry victims should form a World Wide Class action. Thus have ALL psychs. removed [from prisons] & treated.

338.      theresa   --  This family should be able to know how and why their brother/son died...It's only right. They also should be able to get a response from the police when they call 911, they are not criminals, the one's that are, are the one's not responding.

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR AGREEING THAT A DISABLED AMERICAN CITIZEN SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST EQUAL JUSTICE WITH DOGS!   THE USDOJ DISAGREES SO FAR, BUT KEEP PRAYING FOR US.  BLESS YOU!

Please be aware that there are 1.25 million other mental patients locked up as criminals in America.  Mentally ill offenders who are violent should be committed to hospitals.  The non-violent who can make it outside should be released under Kendra's Law (subsistence assistance and enforced treatment).

We have been working hard to help other incarcerated psychiatric patients.  This started when my family recognized The Cochran Firm Fraud and began to pursue justice for Larry Neal ourselves.  Almost 800 petitioners have joined us on two petitions in asking the USDOJ to please do its job.

Dispite our best efforts, nothing has changed yet regarding results from our quest for justice for Larry.  We have been asking for nearly six years for records and an investigation into the secret arrest and wrongful death of Larry Neal, a mentally ill heart patient who was secretly arrested in Memphis Shelby Co. Jail and kept there 18 days without his medication while his social worker and family searched for him as a missing person and the jail denied having him - a facility where Larry had been numerous times before due to his illness.  They knew they had Larry.  Mean!

I cannot begin to express how disappointed I am to learn how things really are in America.  I suppose I read too much, watched too much TV.  I really BELIEVED!

I BELIEVED THAT MOST FOLKS WERE NICE AND THAT I LIVED IN A FREAKING DEMOCRACY.  I was told recently that I was wrong.  America is a "republic" like China.  I said, "Oh."

Whether petitioners wrote comments or not, I thank them.

Petitioners, your support is too late for Larry, but just in time to make an impact for many other mentally ill prisoners and let the world know that you are watching how they are treated and that you CARE!   By doing things like signing the petition, it shows that you think mentally ill people should not be jailed and killed with no questions asked like in Nazi Germany.  Although we understand that the USDOJ is going to do just what it wants, and nothing else,  the petition shows that folks know and are concerned about justice.

Many people are working for improvements in the justice system.  Mr. Holder replaced his internal ethics leader in the USDOJ recently.  Vice President Biden, Sen. Webb, and Rep. Johnson and other elected officials are seeking positive change in the prison system.   Perhaps someone will influence the USDOJ to treat my family as being equal to American dogs soon and investigate Larry's death.

We will walk in support of:

~   Sen. Jim Webb (VA-D) has introduced The National Criminal Justice Act of 2009 calling for a national commission to "undertake a top-to-bottom review of our entire criminal justice system."

~   Rep. Johnson (TX-30) introduced H.R. 619 to resume Medicaid payments for care in mental institutions (withdrawal of these funds helped cause hospital closings); and H.R. 766 to provide housing and financial counseling for individuals before their release from inpatient or residential institutions.

There are many concerns about justice in America.  *See 25 justice concerns at this link*

Excuse me.  I was going to write more about Larry's petitioners' comments.  But being stalked and entrapped in one's home is so upsetting!  I guess I was getting overly confident about people being smart.  Hurting Mary would only exacerbate the publicity they seek to avoid - blow it BIG!  BIG!
